Our Father's Day Hero

A card that's simple and to the point today.  Gene and I both grew up with dads that fixed everything, and did it well!  I am so thankful for the way they raised us to appreciate hard work and ingenuity.  My father passed away four years ago and I miss him every day.  It may sound strange, but I am grateful God gave me a dad that I miss so much!  Gene's dad is very much alive and seems to be always working on a project for someone in the family.  That's why he's our hero!

I cut the letters in black cardstock using the Silhouette SD and placed it in front of some wood patterned paper from my stash.  The Paper Smooches Alphadot O-U-R are heat embossed in silver.  I cut the tools for the banner from a Silhouette cut called Tool Set.  The tools are white cardstock colored with a Sharpie silver marker and a Copic R29.  The twine is a Hobby Lobby brand.

I'm playing along with a fun challenge going on right now at CAS-ual Fridays

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a great day!
