No Line Coloring a Rainbow Unicorn with a Video

I put together a bit of sparkle today and a video showing a no-line coloring technique to create a rainbow mane and tail blending red, yellow, and blue.

Here's the video of how I colored him:

I didn't have a plan for this little guy before I colored him, but afterward I remembered the Lawnfawnatics What's the Weather challenge and the sketch and photo over at the Fusion Card Challenge and decided to just cut him out, add some Wink of Stella to his hair, and set him in the air with some sparkly clouds in the sky.  This is one magical unicorn as he's flying and he doesn't even need wings!  The inside sentiment says, "Hope your day sparkles!"
This card is going over to play in the following challenges:
Fusion Card Challenge: Rainbow Cupcake
Lawnfawnatics:  What's the Weather
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge:  Anything Goes

Supplies:
Stamps:  Lawn Fawn A Little Sparkle
Dies: Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle from Scallop Pop-Up Box, Clouds from Pivot Pop-Up
Paper:  Georgia Pacific 110#, Recollections Glitter Paper Pad
Copics:  0, C00,0,1,2, Y13,15,17, B00,12,14, R22,35
Ink:  Memento Summer Sky, VersaMark

Rainbow Pivot Pop-Up Card

I'm popping in today with a pivot pop-up!   As with many of you in the northern part of the Northern Hemisphere, I am ready for spring!  Since that is still a long way off (we're talking May here), I  needed to create a little spring weather of my own:

Besides Lawn Fawn's Pivot Pop-up die, this card features Lawn Fawn's Really Rainbow 6x6 petite paper pack.  The rainbow on the front of the card is cut out of one of the patterned papers.  Those trees on the inside remind me of Fruit Stripe gum from the 70s 😜  The sentiment is from Dad+Me "Have a beary amazing day".  I just cut out the "beary" and drew in an "n" with a Copic multi-liner .3

This card is going over to play in the following challenges:

Lawnfawnatics #47 What's the Weather?

Fusion - Rainbow Cupcake Isn't that the coolest cupcake?!

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge:  No Stamps Allowed (no stamps on the front of this card).

Supplies:
Stamps:  Lawn Fawn Dad+Me (inside sentiment)
Dies:  Lawn Fawn Pivot Pop-up, Scalloped Treat Box Spring House Add-on (flowers)

Other:  Signo white gel pen, Copic multi-liner .3, Copic N2, BV00 (shading on mts. and tree trunks)

Thank you so much for coming over to visit!  I hope you have an amazing "rainbow-sort-of" day!

Bubbles, Bunnies and a Video

When I saw the MFT sketch challenge this week, the design reminded me of bubbles, which got me thinking about MFT's Bubble Over with Joy, which led to this card:
Typically, I would color bubbles using the no-line technique, but I was curious to see if I could keep the solid black lines, and still make them look enough like bubbles.  It is pretty much the same coloring process, but I made sure the colors were bright enough to stand up to the black outlines.

I made a VIDEO of the process, if you're interested in seeing how it was made.  You can watch it here or on my YouTube channel:

This card is going to play over at the MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #424

Tag, You're It! #81: Pantone 2019

It's great to have the Tag, You're It! challenge back up and running!  The challenge theme will vary, and this time we have a color challenge to use the 2019 Pantone color of the year:  Living Coral.

I had a bit of a Pantone predicament, a coral conundrum, if you will.  I pulled out every coral coloring medium, ink, embellishment, and paper I could find, and quickly became overwhelmed.  I didn't realize I had so much coral in my midst.  I dibbled and dabbled with every bit of it, to the point where one would think I was decorating a room rather than making a tiny tag.  Slowly, I eliminated element by element and this little shaker tag came together.

Supplies:
Dies:  MFT Tag Builder Blueprint #4, PTI Wet Paint Cuts, LF Quilted Backdrop
Stamps: HA Dot Moire, HA Damask Background (background tag)
Ink: Lindy's Magicals Cosmopolitan Pink, Distress Oxide Abandoned Coral, Catherine Pooler Coral Cabana
Other:  Glossy Accents, Crayola coral/gold glitter glue, large flower sequins - brand unknown, Making Memories Funky Fibers
Are you up for the Pantone challenge?  Click on over to the Tag, You're It! challenge blog for all the details, check out the design team's tags, and come play along!

Twofer Card Challenge #13: Stars

Oh my stars!  Look what the latest Twofer Card Challenge is all about - STARS, of course!  My star of choice comes from the MFT Bundle of Baby Clothes die set.
I showed this twofer to my family, and they couldn't see the connection.  I think they were looking for how I hid that big star from my patriotic card on the baby card.  I had to point to the little stars on the top that are also on the little overalls.
I was excited to use up scraps to make these darling clothes, but it really didn't use up very much.
This card I'll keep on hand for an occasion of someone joining the service.

I hope you will join us on this stellar journey!  There are so many ways to use stars on our cards.  Over at the Twofer Challenge blog, The Twofer design team and our guests, Barb Ghig and Cat Craig have some fantastic inspiration to get you started.

Supplies:
Stamps:  SSS Tilted Banner Sayings, MFT Welcome, Baby
Dies:  MFT Bundle of Baby Clothes, SSS Tilted Banners, Altenew 3D star die, LF Scalloped Treat Box Spring Add-on (little flowers)
Paper:  MME My Girl, MFT Dots and Stripes Confection, silver mirror cardstock and other cs scraps
Other:  VersaMark, SSS Fine Detail Silver EP, Ranger Princess Gold EP, Wink of Stella - clear, silver thread - Hobby Lobby

Anniversary Ice Cream

Nothing says Happy Anniversary like an ice cream cone, right?  Okay, no, but put two cones together and they make the shape of a heart - aww...

I finished off the inside of the card to tie in the ice cream theme a little more.
