The Dawn Treader is Back at Port

I'm back from a fun 4th of July camping trip.  We camped at a state park across from Mackinac Island, Michigan.  We toured the island and went swimming in a cold Lake Michigan.  Now that I've returned, I started to look back at my blog feed to catch up.  Wow!  I couldn't even find where I left off!  I'm sorry not to comment on all of your beautiful creations.

I want to share a Silhouette non-card creation.  When we bought our pop-up camper, I was reading C.S. Lewis' The Voyage of the Dawn Treader to the girls.  We all decided that that would be our vessel's name.  It took me over a year to get the courage to cut into the vinyl and adhere it to the camper.  Finally, I took the plunge and here are the results:
I got the Narnia font off the internet and cut it in black.  Then I cut an inside border version in gold.  I adhered the gold to the black using the transfer paper, and then adhered all the pieces onto the camper using transfer paper and a level.  The W was a little off, but otherwise it came out okay.  I was concerned that I would walk out the next day and see little pieces of vinyl shriveled up on the garage floor, but I'm happy to report that it's still sticking!

Thanks for coming to visit, hope you have a great start to your week!
Kara Lynne
