Carol created a fantastic card with so many inspiring elements:
I love the contrast of the black tag on the light pink background. Just look at all of the shapes, including the triangles in the background that are also reflected in the patterned paper of her stars. I also love the pink, black, and gold color combination!
I decided to focus on the open star, the color combination, and the celebratory sentiment. I merged a star shape with a circle using the Silhouette Cameo to create a tag. I then Cut another star with a star cut out in the middle for the top of the shaker. The tag was cut from watercolor paper and painted with Blushing Rose Twinkling H2Os. The top star is regular cardstock swiped with Brilliance Galaxy Gold ink. The window was created with a piece of clear acetate and the top popped up with fun foam. The sequins are a combination of Doodle Bug black and Neat & Tangled Orchid Satin. I stamped the sentiment from PTI's Sparkle and Shine stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The PTI Sparkle and Shine word die was also swiped with the gold ink, and attached to the star with black floss.
There was no way to get the glittery goodness to show up on camera, but it all sparkles irl!
I hope you will play along with this wonderful challenge at Tag, You're It! I'd love to see what you create!
Thanks for coming over to visit, I hope you have a wonderful day!
