Twofer Card Challenge #10 Harvest

Harvest is the theme for the Twofer Card Challenge this month.  My harvest image of choice was a small pumpkin (actually two) from one of my favorite MFT Birdie Brown stamp sets of all time:  Harvest Mouse.

I created this card first and thankfully I had some of the images already colored, cut, and ready to go!  The images are set on a die cut background of water color card stock that was ink blended with Distress Oxides.

This second card is a conglomeration of four different patterned paper pads.  It was fun to see them all play so nicely together.  The pumpkins were colored with Copics and a bit of Copic shadow was colored under the pumpkins.
Supplies:
Stamps:  MFT Harvest Mouse
Dies:  MFT Horizontal Collage Cover, Big Thanks
Paper:  MME Indie Chic "Saffron", Kaiser Craft Lush Collection, Momenta, Basic Grey Out of Print, PTI Ocean Tides, watercolor paper
Copics:  Pumpkin Thanks card:  W00,0,1,2,3, E 19, 41,43, YR02, 18, 61, 65, YG 61,63, I lost track of all the Copics I used on the first card, sorry!
Inks: Distress Oxides Wild Honey, Fired Brick, Iced Spruce, Memento Tuxedo Black, VersaMark,
Other:  SSS Fine Detail white embossing powder

I hope you will join us this month at the Twofer Card Challenge!  Our special guests Lindby and Liz, have wonderful cards to share, so please head over to the Twofer blog to see their inspirations as well as the rest of the team's.

My thank you card is happy to play over at Double D Challenges; Scarecrows/Pumpkins Mood Board.

Thanks for coming over to visit!  I hope you have a wonderful day!

  1. You did such a beautiful job of coloring those mice, and the accompanying apples and pumpkins, Kara. The die cut panel was a fun way to display them. I love your choice of patterned papers on the second card and of course there are more wonderfully colored pumpkins.

  22. Hey there, Kara (pronounced Cassandra)! I keep going back to check out your cards and how you've colored them. Your eyes see so much more than mine, and it blows what little mind I have left. These are perfect "harvest" cards. Sweet images, and btw...did you notice the white pumpkins at P&S last week? Yours are better, if you ask me! Give my regards to the fam, and soon we'll need to have a crafty sleep over!! We'll chat soon Cressida. Sending hugs in the meantime. xoxoxo ; ) Bev

  24. WOW... what fabulous inspiration for TWOFER!

  25. Love your cards. The mouse set is also one of my favorites. Once you stamp and then color you have lots of pieces to play with. I made Thanksgiving cards using this set and have decided they will do just fine for holiday cards and therefore no Christmas cards from me. It has helped that I have selected to narrow my C list substantially. Have a good one.
