Twofer Card Challenge: #28 Circles/Bubbles

We're feeling bubbly over at the Twofer Card Challenge blog, because it's time to begin June's challenge!  My bubble or circle of choice is Purple Onion Designs' Jackson and Bubbles:
For this first card, "thinking of you" card, I just used the bubble portion of the stamp and paired it with the washing mashing from Paper Smooches Squeaky Clean.  I replaced the center of the machine with a circle stamp rather than the heart shape that comes in it.  I turned it into a shaker that also includes some clear drops, and put the whole thing on a wobbler.  The sentiment is from MFT's Bubble over with Joy (retired).  The die behind it is Simon Says Stamp's Bubble Breeze (retired).
This birthday card includes for full stamp of Jackson and Bubbles.  He's paired with two new friends and a background from Purple Onion Designs' summer release called Sunshine Lake.  Everything was colored using Copic markers.

I hope you'll join us this month with your favorite circle or bubble stamp, die or stencil!  Head on over to the Twofer Card Challenge blog for more inspiration from our talented guests, Jenny and Linda, and design team!

Supplies:
Stamps: POD Jackson and Bubbles, Sampson, August, River, PS Squeaky Clean, Sunny Side Up, MFT Bubble Over with Joy
Dies:  SSS Bubble Breeze

Thanks for coming over to visit!
May the Lord bless you today!

  1. Oh, Kara what a wonderful twofer! Deliciously CAS washing machine (clean ... hahaha!) with that bubbly swoosh background ... such a fun idea to make the washer wobble so the bubbles inside shake ... genius! Your lake scene is adorable ... those cute friends look as though they're chilling nicely on the beach ... wonder if they have craft stash waiting for them back at their Lake House?! Big hugs and bisous, Anita :)

  2. Oh goodness, what fabulous cards using circles/bubbles! I love that washing machine card, I bet it is fun to play with as well since it is a shaker on an action wobble!! Your beach scene is incredible. I love the sunbathers, but am so loving the little guy blowing the bubbles. Way to cute for words! Hugs, Brenda

  3. These are two fantastic cards, Kara. I love the bubbles in the washing machine, that is so cute. And a wobbler yet! The beach scene is one I would like to be in right now. I would be the one sitting on the beach towel reading. That is the cutest card.

  5. Kara your twofer is fabulous! So clever to use the bubbles from one stamp as a stand-alone and then as they are intended. Loving both of these fun creative cards.

  8. Oh my...can I come over and play with the washing machine card???? I can just imagine how FUN the washer is as a shaker and also on a wobbler!! (I have a little bee on a wobbler on a little post it note holder on my desk that I play with all the the time...doesn't take much to amuse me apparently!!) But anyway, cute, CUTE card design Kara! And your 2nd card with Jackson blowing the bubbles...well it's obviously AMAZING too! The whole scene you've created and colored so beautifully is FABULOUS!! I still think you should be a children's book illustrator!! Fabulous, FABULOUS cards my friend...love them both!! Take care. Hugs. :0)

  10. These are both darling with a capital D, Kara! No one makes scenes like you do! Remember that tantrum you threw back in '03? What a scene that was! Hardy har, couldn't resist. I must be feeling better! But, seriously, your birthday card is so sweet with those cutie-pie critters. I thought Hammy was pretty irresistible, but I would give a year's supply of Kringle for a little baby turtle that reads books!! And I was just telling Cat that her bubble card reminds me of the bubbles your big bear is blowing!

As for your washing machine shaker card, please! Girl, you awe-maze me! So brilliant and so perfectly executed. Just the machine and sediment would have been fab, but to add the bubbly breeze is next level!! Miss you! Hugs and kisses, Darnell

  12. Kara, wow two very different cards. Love your little critter scene at the beach and I agree, no one makes scenes like you do. And your washing machine is too cute with the suds. Thanks, my friend for having me as one of the GD's this month at Twofer.

  13. Well Mable, you've done it again! Seriously, Shirley, these are fantabulous. I'm in love with that washing machine card; CAS + perfect colors + shaker + wobbler...soooo cool. Yep, love it. And naturally, that birthday card is beyond adorable! River beach with buds...sounds like something we need to do, only our bubbles will come from champagne! Your attention to detail in your coloring still blows me away. Very awesome cards, my friend. Miss you and hope to see you soon. xo Bev
