One Layer, Baby!

I always marvel at one layer cards.  I decided to try my hand at this one after reading Darnell's post with her darling three birthday frogs.  If you've never read her blog, you are missing out!  She's got a great sense of humor and creative cards to share.  Anyway, she talked about triplets and it reminded me of when our first daughter was born.  Two of my SILs had babies the same week, one was on the same day!  Triplet cousins, now that I can handle.  They are all ten this year, where did that time go?!

Here's my "inspiration" photo of my now ten-year-old.  See, just like the card - hee, hee!  I know I have a baby picture with her two cousins, but I can't find it on this computer!

I used a Stampin' Up! Stampin' Around roller wheel that I bought about the time my daughter was born.  I rarely used the roller, so I pulled it apart and put the separate images on cling foam.  I made the masks out of card stock and pulled them through the Xyron.  It was not easy to get back off the card, but on my first attempt the water-spritzed ink bled through the lightly-taped printer paper (poor things looked like their diapers leaked).  I'm enjoying the versatility of this "Typically Teen" stamp set.  I get excited every time I see someone use it on their blog.  My family would say, "Get a life!" but I know you all understand.

This card was inspired by Darnell, and the following challenges:

  16. Oh, grasshopper, this is the first time that I know of where I've been the acknowledged perspiration for anyone about anything!! Thank you for the compliment and the linkie! I am glowing like a mother WITHOUT triplets!!

More importantly, your card is adorable and the picture of your daughter screaming her head off is wickedly funny! Poor ten-year-old still has nightmares of being placed in a cold dolly sandwich! But, seriously, how fun for them to have cousins all the same age!!

    Bless you!
