When I CASE someone's work, I like to sketch out their card or tag first. It helps me to look closer at the elements within the design. Hazel has some remarkable details that I wanted to include on my tag:
Here's Hazel's tag:
There are several obvious similarities in our tags such as the baby theme, baby clothes, scripty sentiment and bow. One less obvious element would be the connection between the clothing and the tag itself. Hazel placed the neck of the onsie right on the hole of the tag, which was very clever. I connected the clothing to the tag by hanging it on the sentiment. Hazel also has hearts in the background to reflect the little heart on the onsie, so I used a star on the overalls and scattered some in the background as well.

ReplyDeleteThis is amazing! I LOVE your take on the tag. The colors are fabulous and that little outfit is too cute!!
ReplyDeleteOh, my, once again you are the cream of the crop, Kara! The coloring and how you CASEd the details of Hazel's adorable tag are amazing and so thoughtful in totality, but hanging that squeezable darling outfit on a hanger over the sediment is what makes you a GENIUS designer!! If you ask me. And I agree with you that the way Hazel punched the hole to line up with the neck of the onesie was pretty genius, too!! Hugs, Darnell
