Rainbow Pivot Pop-Up Card

I'm popping in today with a pivot pop-up!   As with many of you in the northern part of the Northern Hemisphere, I am ready for spring!  Since that is still a long way off (we're talking May here), I  needed to create a little spring weather of my own:

Besides Lawn Fawn's Pivot Pop-up die, this card features Lawn Fawn's Really Rainbow 6x6 petite paper pack.  The rainbow on the front of the card is cut out of one of the patterned papers.  Those trees on the inside remind me of Fruit Stripe gum from the 70s 😜  The sentiment is from Dad+Me "Have a beary amazing day".  I just cut out the "beary" and drew in an "n" with a Copic multi-liner .3

This card is going over to play in the following challenges:

Lawnfawnatics #47 What's the Weather?

Fusion - Rainbow Cupcake Isn't that the coolest cupcake?!

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge:  No Stamps Allowed (no stamps on the front of this card).

Supplies:
Stamps:  Lawn Fawn Dad+Me (inside sentiment)
Dies:  Lawn Fawn Pivot Pop-up, Scalloped Treat Box Spring House Add-on (flowers)
Paper:  Lawn Fawn Really Rainbow 6x6 petite paper pack
Other:  Signo white gel pen, Copic multi-liner .3, Copic N2, BV00 (shading on mts. and tree trunks)

Thank you so much for coming over to visit!  I hope you have an amazing "rainbow-sort-of" day!
Kara

  1. Love this, Kara! You have gone very Laura Bassen (huge compliment) on this design! Love all the elements and the festive fun on the inside! Thank you for the much-needed dose of springtime. Yes even here we're ready for it, but the Midwest wins the prize this year for February snowfall! Hugs, Darnell

  3. I love that you brought a taste of spring today. It is so gloomy here and heavy rain predicted for this afternoon with high winds so spring is definitely needed. I love Lawn Fawn papers and cutting those trees out of it is awesome. No one would ever know you cut up that sentiment and added an n. Your "Laura Bassen" rainbow is beautiful.

  4. Oh I'm loving your dose of Spring and Summer all rolled into one Kara...we definitely NEED it here too! I know Darnell said you've gone very Laura Bassen on this card, but my first thought was a Birgit card because she does such fabulous pop up cards! But either way, you nailed it with this fun, FUN card! :0)

  5. Aren't you glad we don't live in Rhinelander or Eagle River???!!! They're shoveling roofs up there! Just hoping we don't get snow on top of the rain that's currently falling; it'll make it a real trick to get to church in the morning. Ugh. Thank you for this breath of fresh springtime air. The colors are just what this snow covered world needs! And flowers. We need those too. What a cool card. Will this one show up in a video? Just wonderin'... Sending hugs babe. xoxo Bev

  8. Bring on the spring colors Kara! This is delightful! I just purchased a pivot card die and am waiting for it to arrive. Your card has me inspired! I can totally see the zebra gum in those colorful stripes. What was that gum called??? Thanks for a post that inspires a blast from the past and the hope of spring to come.
