A Bright Winter's Day

Even though it's winter here, I still enjoy bright, sunshiny days.  I just don't have the urge to go swimming.  This little penguin found something fun to do on the old frozen swimming hole:

The penguin, Walter, and sunshiny sentiment are both from Purple Onion Designs.  The stitched square frame is from MFT, and the snowflakes are from Lawn Fawn.

This is the last card in my series of clean and simple winter cards using Zig Clean Color Brush Markers.  I hope to continue playing with them more often!

Thanks for coming over to visit!
May the Lord bless you today!

  1. He is so cute, Kara. Your background is sky is lovely. I hope he's just resting and didn't fall while skating. I'm still working with my zigs. Thanks for your help.

  2. Oooooooh...poor Walter! He's in the same position on the ice that I would be if I had skates on...on my bumm!! His skating abilities might not be the greatest, but he is SO CUTE that he totally makes up for his lack of skating skills! And your coloring skills with the Zigs is FABULOUS so I definitely hope to see more my friend! Have a great week Kara! Miss you!! Hugs. :0)

  3. It's hard to believe how cold it is there when it's so hot here... I'm sure that this cute little fella would be sweating here lol.

  9. I will be keeping your Ziggie series at hand for inspiration, Kara. You have proved to be as adept with them as you are with Copics and I've been inspired! Your sky here is simply perfection and it's a perfect backdrop for that adorable penguin cooling his bottom on the ice!! Take care! Hugs, Darnell
