A Magic Iris Camera Dragon Ride with Lawn Fawn | Video

The night is clear and full of stars!  It's a perfect night to go for a dragon ride!
The camera is ink blended with distress ink.  I used modeling paste mixed with Prisma glitter through the Starry Sky stencil.
The camera itself helps create the scene with the Build A Castle and Build an Aquarium.
The Magic Iris die closes the camera lens.  I white heat embossed the sentiment onto the closed iris.

I created a video to show how I put this card together.  You can watch it here, on the Lawn Fawn YouTube channel, or on my YouTube channel:
Thanks so much for watching!

Fluttering By with Reverse Confetti

Fluttering by...to say "hi" today with a card using the new stamps and dies by Reverse Confetti!

The flower and leaf images from Stained Glass Butterflies were stamped twice each and gold heat embossed.  The large butterfly was embossed in the same way, but on vellum.  All of the images were then cut out using the Stained Glass Butterflies Confetti Cuts.

A strip from Background Builder and a sentiment from Stained Glass Butterflies were gold heat embossed on the background.

The leaves, flowers, and background were water colored in dark pink and gold Kuritake Gansai Tambi watercolor paint.

Stock Your Stash Challenge: Oh, Baby! with Reverse Confetti

This month, Reverse Confetti's Stock Your Stash challenge occasion is one of the the most precious, and certainly the cutest: A new baby!

The sweet little bunnies from Rain or Shine were stamped in light ink, colored with Copic markers, and cut out with the Rain or Shine Confetti Cuts.

Life would be like a dream if I saw this little guy tubing down the stream:

A Mamma Bear's Heart with SugarPea Designs

It may still be the middle of summer, but I get a little sadder each day knowing that my first baby will be leaving the nest.  I'm so happy for her, but the family dynamic will never be quite the same.  I created a tag to go with a care package that I intend to send about a month or so into the school year:

I ink blended the tag with Distress Ink using SugarPea Designs' new Outdoor Scene Builder stencil.  The bear and bird from Hey Summer were colored with Copic markers and cut out with the coordinating SugarCuts.

The tag design includes a pocket which is perfect for a gift card or a special note.  It's also a good place to add an important message:

SugarPea Designs Supplies:
Stamps:  Hey Summer
Dies:  Hey Summer, Floral Pocket Tag
Stencils:  Outdoor Scene Builder
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, VersaMark, Distress Ink Tea Dye, Gathered Twigs, Mowed Lawn, Salty Ocean

Wish Big On Your Birthday with the Lawn Fawn Summer Release!

Mama Bear and her cubs are enjoying a day at the beach.  They built a sand castle fit for a king!  That's the way I wanted my sand castles to turn out, but usually they ended up looking more like an ant hill.

The castle and beach are kraft cardstock colored with Copic markers.  The ocean waves were ink blended with the new Ocean Wave Stencils and Distress Oxide ink.  The bears are from various stamp sets (listed below) and stamped with Lawn Fawn's Crunchy Leaf ink, which is Copic friendly.
This side view reveals that there's a surprise inside:
Again, I used Copic markers on kraft cardstock to create a sandy look on the Pop-up Wish Big, Scripty Birthday and card base.  The beach was embellished with images from the On the Beach stamp set.  The "on your" was stamped with Crunchy Leaf ink and is from Offset Sayings: Birthday.

I hope you are enjoying Lawn Fawn's June release!  Head on over to the Lawn Fawn blog for great inspiration and your chance to win!

Twofer Card Challenge #29: Butterflies

Time to Twofer!  We're all a-flutter over at the Twofer Card Challenge blog because our prompt is butterflies!  My butterfly of choice is a die cut from Lawn Fawn's Scalloped Treat Box Spring House Add-on:
This first card is a bit free form.  I had a large sheet of Yupo paper and just played around with different colors.   I cut the panel from an interesting area of the paper, added the sentiment and butterfly which was cut out of the same paper.
The inside completes the sentiment with a Lawn Fawn Hello Pop-up and LF's Oliver's Stitched ABCs.
This birthday card uses both sizes of butterflies from the die set.  I stamped the sentiment in dye ink and then in clear so I could heat emboss it with clear embossing powder.
And here's the lovely couple together:
Please check out the Twofer Card Channel blog for fantastic inspiration from our amazing guest designers Barb and TK, and the team.  I hope to see you in the gallery!

Not to put a song in your head, but:

Both panels were ink blended with Distress Oxides.  The top panel uses Lawn Fawn's new Ocean Wave stencils.  The slimline lift-the-flaps die cuts all three openings together.  Various stamp sets were used to set the garden scene for the octopi.

I created a video to show how I put this card together.  You can watch it here, on Lawn Fawn's YouTube channel, or on my YouTube channel:

Rain or Shine, It's Release Day at Reverse Confetti!

Today's the Day!  It's release day for Reverse Confetti!  All of the new products are in the store and ready for purchase.
To celebrate the occasion, we have a hop going on!

These two bunnies from Rain or Shine thought the hop was literal, so they hopped right up onto one of the tags from the Three Tags Confetti Cuts to look at the beautiful sky!  The background was cut with the new Pointed Cover Panel, and ink blended with Distress Ink which was then spritzed with water.

The images from Rain or Shine were stamped in black, colored with Copic markers, and cut out using the Rain or Shine Confetti Cuts.

The sentiment is also from Rain or Shine, stamped in the same colors as the background.

Count Down to Confetti | Day Three

Today is the third and final day of the Countdown to Confetti.  All of the new products will be available in the Reverse Confetti store tonight at midnight EST.

My first card features Stained Glass Butterflies and Cloudy Day Cover Panel:

I stamped the images from Stained Glass Butterflies with VersaMark ink onto watercolor paper and heat embossed them in silver.  The flowers and butterfly were painted with Distress Ink mixed with water.  All of the images were cut out using the Stained Glass Butterflies Confetti Cuts.

The Cloudy Day Cover Panel was also cut from watercolor paper and washed with the same Distress inks.  After it was dry, I adhered it to a white 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" note card, and then pieced in the clouds.

The flowers, leaves and butterfly were arranged on a piece of white cardstock matted on silver cardstock.  The sentiment comes from the Stained Glass Butterflies set and was stamped in black ink on the white cardstock.   Some of the flowers were raised with foam adhesive, and others were glued directly to the white panel.

My second card features Best Sentiments, Multi-Step Cacti, Cross Tiles Cover Panel, and Three Tags:

I die cut a panel with the Cross Tiles Cover Panel and used it as a stencil, ink blending Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink in the center openings to create a heart shape.  I then masked those openings, and blended Shabby Shutters Distress Oxide into the rest of the openings.  After removing the make shift stencil, I used the same inks to blend the background and spritzed it with water.

The cacti from Multi-Step Cacti were stamped with regular Distress ink and shaded slightly with Copic markers.  The pots were colored with Copics.  All of the images were cut out using the Multi-Step Cacti Confetti Cuts.

The sentiment comes from the new Best Sentiment stamp set.  I stamped it one of the tags from the Three Tags Confetti Cuts, and added a little ribbon as a finishing touch.
