It's Lawn Fawn's Release Day!

Lawn Fawn has a free with purchase stamp set available called, "Long Distance Hugs"  I've paired it with a few other stamps, dies, and sparkle cord from the new release:
The background and clouds are cut from watercolor paper and painted a bit with watercolors.  The rainbow was cut from shimmer cardstock, and the mice were colored with Copic markers.
I think it can work with or without the mice, depending on the recipient:
I hope you've been inspired this week by all of the cards created by the Lawn Fawn design teams!  Head on over to the Lawn Fawn blog for your chance to win!

The Answer, My Friend, Is Blowing in the Wind - Video!

These two mice know just how much they mean to each other for two reasons: 1.  It says so in the sky, and 2. they both learned how to read.

I created a video to show how this card came together.  You can watch it over at Scrapbook Pal's YouTube channel.  Full instructions and a list of supplies used can be found over on Scrapbook Pal's blog.

A Magical New Release from Lawn Fawn!

Lawn Fawn's summer release has me dreaming of a castle on a cloud, and yes, that song from Les Miserables haunted me the entire time I worked on this card!  I loved combining so many of the new sets together, and the large slimline stitched rectangle helped to elongate the scene:

The little fairies are sprinkling their pixie dust through the layers of clouds cut from Pixie Dust cardstock, and everyone was glittered up with the Lawn Fawn Glitter Pen in one way or another so this card is extra sparkly!
Lawn Fawn Supplies:
Stamps:  Tiny Fairy Tale, Little Dragon, Unicorn Picnic
Dies: Build-a-Castle, Stitched Rainbow, Puffy Cloud Backdrop: Portrait, Large Slimline with Sliders, Tiny Fairy Tale, Little Dragon, Unicorn Picnic

Ink: Jet Black, Clear
Other: White Embossing Powder, Glue Tube, Glitter Pen, Double Sided Tape, Sakura white gel pen

Purple Onion Designs Covid-19 Support

Purple Onion Designs and Stacey Yacula are releasing a new stamp set to help support those effected most by the Covid-19 crisis.  The set is called, "Together," and includes one large image and five coordinating sentiments.
These little friends give me the warm fuzzies, so I used a combination of Copic Markers and Prisma Color Pencils to give them a warm and fuzzy look in return.
This special edition stamp set illustrated by Stacey Yacula is a joint venture to raise money for Covid-19 relief.
For every stamp set sold, $10.00 will be donated to the United Way Worldwide Covid-19 Community Response & Recovery Fund.
Donations will be made to both the United States & International communities.
Head on over to Purple Onion Designs for all the details.

A Special Day Just For Dad

This fisherfox is going to my fisherman father-in-law for Father's Day:
The dock was stamped and masked on white cardstock which was then ink blended with Distress Oxides, spritzed with water, and splattered with more ink.  The dock was then colored with Copic Markers and defined a bit with colored pencil.  The fox was stamped over the image to get the fishing line details, but he and his bobber were also stamped, colored, and cut from a different piece of cardstock and glued over the place he was stamped on the background.

Supplies:
Stamps:  Purple Onion Designs Bently, Dock, A Beautiful Day Sentiment Set
Dies:  Lawn Fawn Oliver's Stitched ABCs, Lawn Fawn Say Cheese, Again, Lawn Fawn Outside/In Stitched Rectangles
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Distress Oxides in Salty Ocean, Faded Jeans, Blueprint Sketch
Paper:  My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline 6x6 paper pad
Copics: C0,2, W0,2, R02,05,08,24,39, E11,13,15,21,23,25,27,70,71,74,81,84, YG61,63,67,97

Forget Your Troubles, Come on Get Happy!

Rainbow clouds, a vellum balloon, silver embossing, and scalloped stitched edges - now that makes me happy today!

Did you notice the faint scripty writing in the clouds?  I first used the Handwritten Letter background stamp on the panel with VersaMark ink.  Then, as I blended the clouds with the Outdoor Scene Builder stencil, the Distress ink picked up on the handwritten words, leaving a subtle textured detail.  Then I cut the panel using the scallop border die from the Card Front Element Builder SugarCut set.
The Happy Word was cut out of a brushed silver paper, and the shadow was cut out of vellum.  The balloon from the Later Gator stamp set was stamped on vellum, silver heat embossed, and cut out using the Later Gator SugarCut.  The end of the sentiment is from the Happy Thoughts stamp set, and was also heat embossed in silver.

Twofer Card Challenge: #28 Circles/Bubbles

We're feeling bubbly over at the Twofer Card Challenge blog, because it's time to begin June's challenge!  My bubble or circle of choice is Purple Onion Designs' Jackson and Bubbles:
For this first card, "thinking of you" card, I just used the bubble portion of the stamp and paired it with the washing mashing from Paper Smooches Squeaky Clean.  I replaced the center of the machine with a circle stamp rather than the heart shape that comes in it.  I turned it into a shaker that also includes some clear drops, and put the whole thing on a wobbler.  The sentiment is from MFT's Bubble over with Joy (retired).  The die behind it is Simon Says Stamp's Bubble Breeze (retired).
This birthday card includes for full stamp of Jackson and Bubbles.  He's paired with two new friends and a background from Purple Onion Designs' summer release called Sunshine Lake.  Everything was colored using Copic markers.

I hope you'll join us this month with your favorite circle or bubble stamp, die or stencil!  Head on over to the Twofer Card Challenge blog for more inspiration from our talented guests, Jenny and Linda, and design team!

Supplies:
Stamps: POD Jackson and Bubbles, Sampson, August, River, PS Squeaky Clean, Sunny Side Up, MFT Bubble Over with Joy
Dies:  SSS Bubble Breeze

SugarPea Designs June Mix-It-Up Challenge #68

It's time to Mix-It-Up again and this month is a cool, refreshing, and fun inspiration photo, colors, and sketch!  I chose to play with that inspiration photo and colors:

These two friends and the sentiment come from the newly released Cottontail Cuties stamp set and the popsicle is from the Hey Summer stamp set.  I first stamped the animals, then masked off their paws, and stamped the popsicle.  I stamped another popsicle and fussy cut the top part as it overlapped the fox a bit.  After I colored those two with Copic markers, I masked them off and blended the background with Distress Oxides Broken China, and Salty Ocean and spritzed it with water.

What inspires you?  The sketch?  Those popsicles?  Maybe it's a bit of both.  I hope you will join us for June's Mix-It-Up challenge over at the SugarPea Designs' blog!
