Well, he's really just floating by to say thanks:

It's much more fun to see this card in action.  You can watch the video here, at Lawn Fawn's YouTube Lawn Fawns YouTubeChannel, or at my YouTube Channel:

Leaves are Falling with Purple Onion Designs

Oh to be a kid again and jump in the leaves!  At this point, not only would my body not comply, but my brain would ask, "what gross things are also in that pile?"

These two have nothing to fear in their colorful pile of leaves, just good clean fun:

The sentiment continues on the inside of the card "...to make me happy!"
The background trees are from an older Simon Says Stamp die called Birch Tree Window.  I cut it twice to widen the opening in kraft cardstock and ink blended the edges.  The background was also ink blended, and everything else was colored with Copic markers along with a white Prisma color pencil.

Purple Onion Designs Stamps:  Winslow and Rusty: Autumn Friends
Dies: SSS Birch Tree Window
Ink: DOx Picked Raspberry, Carved Pumpkin, Vintage Photo, Aged Mahogany, DI Dusty Concord (on sentiment)

Sending a Little Encourage-mint!

Need some encourage-mint today?  These mints are here to help!

To stand these fellows up, I cut five slits in the red scalloped circle, slipped a stand from the Cake Box die set through each slit, and adhered a peppermint to both sides of the stand.  The red scalloped circle was then adhered to the pink circle, which was then adhered to the lid of the jar.  There is a white star in the center to fill in the space.
The dome is half of a plastic ornament from a craft store.  I attached the dome with super glue.  I used a Tiny Tag and Peppermint hemp cord for a finishing touch.

These mints are so much fun!  I hope you'll check out all the great ideas from the design team over at the Lawn Fawn blog!  Leave a comment over there for your chance to win!

A Frosty Christmas with Lawn Fawn

I saw this ice truck the other day (photo below) and its logo inspired this card design:

Lawn Fawn's new Magic Iris Snowflake Add-on worked perfectly to recreate the white negative space.  I also dressed up the Mermaid cardstock with Fairy Dust stencil paste and the new Snowflake Backgrounds stencils.  I ink blended over that with Distress Ink, which left the Mermaid cardstock visible underneath the Fairy Dust paste.  The new Magic Holiday Messages filled in the center nicely.

I snapped this photo through my very bug encrusted windshield, but you get the gist of it.

I hope you'll check out the Lawn Fawn blog to see how others were inspired to use the new Magic Iris Snowflake Add-on, and for your chance to win!

Friends at the Farm with Purple Onion Designs

This scarecrow and his little crow friend are peeking into the barn to say hello:

I masked and stamped the scarecrow, corn, and fence together on one panel, then stamped the barn door background for the top panel.  I cut out the door so that it opens.  Bessie the cow and Mo the chick were stamped separately, fussy cut, and adhered to the front panel.

Fun little detail:  I stamped and colored another bottom door and adhered it on the back of the top panel so the door looks like wood on both sides:

I thought a sentiment might detract from the scene so I added a hello sentiment on the inside of the card.

Purple Onion Designs Stamps:  Bessie, Mo, Barn Door Background, Scarecrow, Two Cornfields, Spring Fence

In the Bright Moonlight with Purple Onion Designs

Two friends in the woods with nothing but their lanterns and the glow of the moon.  Does that sound like the start of a bad scary movie?  On the contrary, it's a lovely moonlight stroll for this owl his hedgehog friend.  I wonder where they're off to?

I placed a circle mask onto a piece of Bristol smooth paper.  I inked around it with Distress Oxides and regular Distress ink, leaving some white showing around the mask.  Once I took the mask off, it really looked like it glowed!

These two and the birch trees background were stamped, colored with Copic markers, fussy cut all as one piece, and then added to the panel with foam tape.

Supplies:
Purple Onion Designs Stamps:  Egg Nog, Forrest, Birch Tree Background
Ink: Distress Oxides: Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch, regular Distress Ink: Chipped Sapphire, Black Soot

A Lawn Fawn Garden Gnome Card and Matching Keychain | Video

With felt still spread across the table from my recent acorn house banner, I was inspired to see what else I could do with it.  Lawn Fawn's new Garden Gnome die set came to mind:

I used a blanket stitch around the edges, added stuffing, and tapped in an eyelet for the chain.  I created a matching card because that's what we card makers do:

A Splashy Summer Birthday with Lawn Fawn's Swish 'N Pop | Video

This mermaid is going to dive right in, thanks to Lawn Fawn's Swish 'N Pop pull tab:

Layers of Watercolor Wishes Rainbow 12x12 paper made it easy to create gradient waves.  Optional, but I added some ink blending and speckling to them.  The Giant Birthday Message was stamped with clear ink over the layers of waves, and heat embossed in white.  A secondary sentiment was also stamped and heat embossed the same way.

I have a video showing how this card came together.  It includes the interactive Swish 'N Pop, Copic coloring, and ink blending.  You can watch it here, on Lawn Fawn's YouTube Channel, and on my channel:

Acorn House Felt Banner and Matching Card

This week, over at the Lawn Fawn blog, we're sharing our favorites.  I have so many favorite Lawn Fawn stamps and dies, but one thing I've always loved since I was itty bitty, was miniature houses.  Lawn Fawn's Acorn House is so charming, I decided to create a felt welcome banner to match the decor of our living room:

Blanket stitch applique and French knots were used to secure some of the pieces, but I also used Aleen's Turbo Tacky glue to adhere everything together.

Here it's draped across our fireplace mantel.  The next photo shows it in context with the fireplace.  Yes, that's my family in the photo.  The girls were three and five when that was taken, but are now going to turn 18 and 20 this fall!

There are three different designs repeated across the banner.  It was fun to vary the placement of the little leaves and flowers that come with the Acorn House die set.

Here's the matching card made with cardstock instead of felt:

Do you have a favorite Lawn Fawn stamp or die set?  Head on over to Lawn Fawn's blog each day this week to take a look at the design teams' favorites!
