No Line Coloring Video with Lawn Fawn

I created a bookmark recently for Lawn Fawn's summer release, and thought I'd recreate it for a video.  I changed the colors of the dragon and also the mechanics of the bookmark.  This time I added two pieces of sheet magnet sandwiched between the cardstock so that the bookmark can clip onto a page in a book:

If you're interested on how this bookmark came together, you can watch the video here, on Lawn Fawn's YouTube channel, or on my YouTube channel:

Celebrating a Proud Moment with Purple Onion Designs

Whenever my young children did something well, I always said, "I'm so happy for you!  That has to feel great!"  It was my way of trying to keep their focus on the action, rather than their mother's reaction, or use it as a measure of self-worth. Is Mom proud of me, or disappointed in me?  As the girls got older, they explained to me that I have a "tell" that let them know EXACTLY what I thought of their actions.  So much for my good intentions.  Ah well, I tried - lol!

Both of my girls know that I am extremely proud and happy of the young ladies that they have become.  Here, Gillian, Faye, and Owen are cheering about a job well done:

I colored them with Copic markers, adding t-shirts to their bodies.  The pom poms are from Gillian's Gear and the sentiments are from Let's Celebrate Sentiment Set.  The frame and bow are from MFT.  I created the smaller frame by stacking two frames together and using the negative.

A Gift Idea for A Lawn Fawn Fan

Have you ever ordered directly from Lawn Fawn and received "the box"?  Sometimes my goodies come in a padded envelope, but once in a while (especially when ordering paper), that teal, green, and white box will arrive at my doorstep.  It's like getting a Christmas present!  The box is trimmed with grass at the bottom, lined inside in teal, full of crinkle paper grass, and marked with happy words of affirmation!

I thought it would be fun, if I sent a friend a Lawn Fawn gift certificate, to put it in a card that would signify that excitement:

The squirrel's hand was freed up with an Xacto knife so she could hold the Cutter Bee scissors!

I stamped some tiny images from several different stamp sets onto a tiny replica of a stamp package.  The green swirls mimic the crinkle grass, and the art supplies are springing out of the box on acetate pieces.

The card does stay closed, but I thought it would be fun to wrap twine around it to keep it tightly shut.  This is the twine that Lawn Fawn uses in their packaging, so it continues the theme:

Here's a video, if you're interested on how it all came together.  You can watch it here, on Lawn Fawn's YouTube channel, or on my YouTube channel:

Happy Independance Day with Purple Onion Designs

Here in the US, the fireworks are ready to ignite!  Petunia, from Purple Onion Designs, is waving the banner to lead the way.  Where is she going?  To just about any park in small town America to watch the fireworks, consume questionable meat products, get eaten by mosquitos, and sit in a traffic jam trying to leave afterwards.  Happy Fourth!
