Having a Blast with Lawn Fawn's Flippy Flappy! | Video!

The men in my family are a tough crowd when it comes to birthday cards.  Their "refined" taste requires the type of humor that reverts them back to that little boy that snickers when someone says the word "butt".  Today I think I have a card worthy enough to send:

Lawn Fawn's Simon Says Stamp Feature

These two really know how to stink it up when it comes to friendship - in a good way!!  Simon Says Stamp is featuring this card full of Lawn Fawn goodies on their blog today.  See below for a full list of supplies.  I really wanted to give the 'scent' of this card priority:

The background was stenciled with both Pixie Dust and Glow-in-the-dark stencil paste.  Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, and Vintage Photo were ink blended over the paste.  This is certainly not a color blend that I would normally use!

To create the sentiment, I used Oliver's Stitched ABCs, along with a mix of words from a three different stamp sets.  The stitched letters are raised with foam adhesive.

The Glow-in-the-dark stencil paste gives off a wonderful green glow that shows up even with just a little bit of darkness!

Three Inky Backgrounds with Lawn Fawn | Video!

Here's a fun color combination of Distress Inks:  Speckled Egg and Chipped Sapphire. 
I decided to try a variety of watercolor backgrounds using those inks and the newest release from Lawn Fawn:

The first background is a combination of ink blending and applying ink/water to a dry background:

The second background is ink applied with a brush onto a wet background:

 The third background is ink smooshed directly onto the paper and then spritzed with water:

Simply Celebrate Hearts is Lawn Fawn's free with purchase of $60 or more stamp set!  These little envelopes are from Scent with Love, but their faces and cheeks are from the free stamp set, and so are all of the sentiments on this card.  I love how the sentiments fit perfectly into the Peppermint Stripes Backdrop!

Lawn Fawn Cerealsly Awesome!

 Oh boy, do I love a punny pun, cerealsly!

I'm also loving the new Quilted Hearts Backdrops.  This one is the portrait version, but cut a little smaller with the largest outside/in stitched rectangle.  I paired it and a couple more panels with a combination of pink and orange Brusho watercolor powders on watercolor paper.
