Virtual Friends from Lawn Fawn's latest release is perfect for Zoom birthdays! Even after we don't only have to meet online for COVID reasons, there are still times when we can't get together in person.
This little mouse is looking forward to seeing his pal, just turn the reveal wheel to see:

The window panes were created with a stamp for the Zoom screen.
The curtains were cut at the bottom with the Stitched Simple Wavy Borders and shaded with Copic markers.

I'm really enjoying all the new products from Lawn Fawn and I hope you are too!

No Line Copic Coloring Elliot and Marcel Two Part Video Series

These two are quite a pair.  Elliot is feeling blue, but his friend, Marcel is there for him.  Sometimes we don't need cheering up, sometimes we just need someone to come along side us and care.

The first episode of this two part video tutorial focuses on no line Copic coloring.  I left in most of the coloring in for people who like to see all the steps.  The second episode includes masking, ink blending, coloring shadows, and cleaning up the details.

Both videos are being released at the same time.  You can watch them here or on my YouTube channel:

Lawn Fawn Release Week Begins with Bubbles!

Release week is here!  The mice are back and this time with bubbles!  I used the no line coloring technique with Copic markers. Sometimes it’s fun just to highlight one or two images in a small scene:

I paired him with the new Bubble Border and framed things up with a Stitched Rectangle Frame, Scalloped Circle, and Fancy Scalloped Rectangle also from Lawn Fawn. I used Lawn Fawn Shimmer Gray, Fog, and new dotted cardstock.

I hope you are enjoying Lawn Fawn’s new release!  It’s getting me in the mood for spring!

Sliding through Candy Land with Lawn Fawn | Video!

Do you remember playing Candy Land?  I remember one time playing it at a friend's house while watching reruns of The Mickey Mouse Club and Gilligan's Island.  Some memories are just so vivid like that.  The board graphics have changed throughout the years.  In fact, the one I remember in the 70s was not the original.  Eleanor Abbott designed the game in the 1940s while hospitalized with polio so that children would have something to play in the hospital.  Now I can't imagine the amount of disinfecting that would have to occur if the hospitals had it now.

I love that Lawn Fawn sets work together so well!  I took a bit of artistic license, ideas from the various editions, and not everything on the game is included on my card.  I did include Queen Frostine, rainbow bridge, the boy and girl holding hands, the molasses swamp, Candy Castle, the Lollipop Woods, Gumdrop Mountains, Peppermint Stick Forest, and the peanut brittle house. I think my favorite part are the die cut gingerbread men that mimic the plastic gingerbread playing pieces. They slide along the maze.

I have a video showing how this card came together.  You can watch it here, on Lawn Fawn's YouTube channel, or my YouTube channel:

I'm over on the Simon Says Stamp blog today for Lawn Fawn!  There is a video below showing how this card came together.

The wings on the owl holding the book are actually the flapping wings from the Special Delivery set.  I cut them out, reversed them, and folded them behind his body.  The book was creased along the two lines of the spine to give it dimension.

You can watch it here, or over on my YouTube Channel.  Thanks so much for watching, liking, and subscribing to my channel!
