You're So Sweet

I'm under the wire to get this one in.  I've been putzing with it all week, and my husband said NOT to post it, I'll be sorry.  Well, I've been sorry for worse things, and I'm comfortable enough now with blogging to know that you will all be kind - ha!  Here it is:

It has some great pink, cotton candy elements, but I just couldn't get it all together.  Papers and pearls are from my stash.  The pearls were colored with Copic R85.  The Glossy Accents on the cotton candy machine looks much better irl.

This card is entered in the CAS-ual Fridays #58 Challenge, because I just can't resist playing along!
Thanks for coming over today!  I will be away from the computer for a while, camping again, but will try to sneak peeks of your blogs with my husband's phone!

Have Fun Today!

Just a quick post today.  I took my ten-yr old daughter to Bible camp yesterday so my eight-yr old daughter and I are spending some special time together.  Of course part of that time today was crafting.  She made and painted a wooden jewelry box from a kit while I worked on this card:

I cut the branches, letters, and pinwheel with my Silhouette and ran them through the Xyron to adhere.  The boy was colored with Copics.  Most papers are from the Making Memories pack.  The cardstock was from my stash, and the leafy green paper (circle behind the boy) is from Provo Craft Soft Watercolor Paper Collection, 2002.

And here's Katherine's beautiful jewelry box:

The card is entered in the following challenges:
Dynamic Duos #8 Monochromatic Colours
Lili's Little Fairies: Time to Play
Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge: #65 Boy Attitude
Well that's it for me today.  Thanks for coming over, and I hope you're enjoying your day!

Another Wish to Make

I used the "Make a Wish" sentiment from Penny Black's Critter Party on my last card, and decided to keep going.  These mice make me smile.  I'm sure I would think otherwise if they were in my kitchen and into my cupcakes!

I love blending challenges together.  Give me a sketch, a color pallet, and a tool or technique, and I've got parameters!  I've always been a "rulesy" type of girl.  I remember once back in college, I was walking down a crowded hallway (on the right side, of course), and this kid was walking down the WRONG side!  I suppose back then I wasn't very gracious because I remember muttering, "You're doing it wrong!" Ha!  Who made me hallway patrol?!  Well, I've come a long way in the twenty some years since, I hope.

Papers and flowers are from my stash.  The eyelets are from Making Memories and I don't think they're available anymore.

This card is entered in the following challenges:
ABC DT Challenge
Freshly Made Sketches #40 (I rotated it)
Cupcake Craft Challenges:  Cupcake 197...Something in the Eyelet

Thanks for coming by, I hope you're having a great day!
