A Bright Winter's Day

Even though it's winter here, I still enjoy bright, sunshiny days.  I just don't have the urge to go swimming.  This little penguin found something fun to do on the old frozen swimming hole:

The penguin, Walter, and sunshiny sentiment are both from Purple Onion Designs.  The stitched square frame is from MFT, and the snowflakes are from Lawn Fawn.

This is the last card in my series of clean and simple winter cards using Zig Clean Color Brush Markers.  I hope to continue playing with them more often!

A Yeti Slimline Shaker Valentine | Video!

Yeti or not, Valentine's Day is just around the corner, and these two yetis are ready:

I love the new scallop slimline dies from Lawn Fawn!  The top panel is cut from white cardstock and craft foam so that the middle heart could be turned into a shaker.  The background was created by scribbling Zig Clean Color brush markers on watercolor paper, and blending them together with a paint brush and water.

I created a video to show how this card came together.  You can watch it here, on Lawn Fawn's YouTube channel, or on my YouTube channel:

Purple Onion Designs CAS Special Delivery

This month, I have a little series (three cards) of clean and simple winter cards featuring Purple Onion Designs with Zig Clean Color brush markers.  We had a couple of road trips which meant I had time in the car to color.  I decided to leave the Copics at home and work with a medium that I usually neglect.

This card includes stamps from Stacey Yacula's new collection: Woodstock, and Mailbox
The sentiment is from the new Holiday Messages Sentiment stamps.

Once I returned home, I also used Lawn Fawn's Snowy Sky stencil and some Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer Paste
mixed with Milled Lavender Distress Ink to complete the snowy scene.

Those Zigs are a lot of fun!  I'll post the next card in the series soon.

Lawn Fawn Valentine Gift Card Holder | Video

A gift card instead of chocolate for Valentine's Day?  Hmm, maybe it's a gift card FOR chocolate!  Lawn Fawn has a great little gift card heart envelope just for the occasion:

I used Lawn Fawn's Conversation Hearts stencils to create a patterned background.  The little mice from Crazy Antics wanted to get involved too, so they are helping with the sentiment.

I made a video to demonstrate how I stenciled and assembled this little envelope.  You can watch it here, on Lawn Fawn's YouTube channel, or on my YouTube channel:
