Lawn Fawn's June Release Week continues and today we're featuring a few more items to help create that tropical vibe:
The Tropical Leaves Magic Iris Add-on makes a great decoration on the Shutter Card belly band, and also fits the Shutter Card opening inside! I lightly inked the Watercolor Wishes 12x12 paper with the new Tropical Leaves background stencils and added some of the new vines and leaves along with the Toucan Do It friends that were previewed earlier in the week:
Our gnome friend from Oh Gnome and the daisy from Gleeful Garden are now available as large dies! I've paired them together on a slimline card and used the Slimline Tropical Leaves Border as tall, thick grass:
I cut the pieces in both black (for the outlines) and white and colored the white pieces with Copic markers. The background is from the new Watercolor Wishes Rainbow 12x12 pack.
I added a sentiment from the Oh Gnome stamp set and set it in a Reveal Wheel Thought Bubble Add-on:
These character dies are so fun to put together! Check out the Lawn Fawn blog for much more inspiration.

Lawn Fawn is featuring Happy Hibiscus and Tropical Leaves dies today for the June release week. I paired them with a black tone on tone Simple Stripes Backdrop: Diagonal to emphasize the tropical colors. The leaves and flowers were cut from alcohol inked yupo paper and then inked some more to create more specific patterns:

These new backdrops come in landscape, portrait, and diagonal styles! Today I'm using the Simple Stripes Backdrop: Portrait to replicate the layers and colors of a s'more. I stamped images and a sentiment from the new S'more the Merrier stamp set. This little guy, Smiley S'more, is set on an outside/in stitched circle in guava cardstock.
I decided to put a magnet on the back of the S'more and adhered it to the card with a glue dot so the recipient could pull him off the card and keep him close by:

In celebration of Lawn Fawn's June release week, I decided to shake things up with a shaker card! The toucans from the new Toucan Do It stamp set are helping me out here with a bit of encouragement. The new Tropical Leaves Backdrop inked in purples and greens gives these two a fun jungle scene. I added a new Tropical Vine Border stretched across the card for the perfect perch. The background is from the new Watercolor Wishes Rainbow 6x6 pack.
On this second photo, the reflection of the light on the acetate shows the shaker element a bit better:

One fantastic feature about Lawn Fawn's new desk chair in the Virtual Friends Add-on stamp set is that it can be used as the front of the chair, or the back. Well, how about both?! This is one excited squirrel spinning around in his rolly chair after finding out he just got a promotion:
Both my husband and I were blessed to have dads who were handy around the house. They taught us to be handy too. Times in the workshop are some of my favorite memories of my dad. He's also the reason I end each blog post as I do. I never left the house without hearing him say, "May the Lord bless you today!" I miss him.
Keeping things simple today:

Did you ride the school bus as a kid? It's a micro culture unto itself! The poor driver not only has to drive an extremely large vehicle, but also contend with more than a classroom full of noisy, unchecked children! They deserve our gratitude:
I love Lawn Fawn's new plaid stencil to create a color scheme to fit any theme. The new Slimline Road Border fits perfectly on Lawn Fawn's Pivot Pop-up for an interactive scene inside the card. Here is a video showing how this card was put together. You can watch it here, on Lawn Fawn's YouTube channel, or on my YouTube channel:
