I hope you'll join me over on YouTube for the launch of a new series,
Color a Critter with Copics and Kara
In this series, I will focus on one animal image and discuss various techniques and color combinations I use to color it.
George from Purple Onion Designs, illustrated by Stacey Yacula, was gracious in volunteering to be featured in the premier video. He was none too happy to find out it included hanging off a balcony, but hey, that's what it takes to make it in the video industry these days!
You can watch the video here or on my YouTube channel:
Thanks so much for watching, liking, and subscribing to my channel!
Purple Onion Designs is celebrating its anniversary with a crazy good sale! I know George will be there, ready to sign autographs.

Card designs or sketches are a great catalyst for getting the creative juices flowing. Here I used a floating card front design to create both a clean and simple card, and a layered frilly card:
Lawn Fawn's new Tiny Birthday Friends are hanging out on this first card. The giant sentiment die bridges the two sides of the card front:
Same design, diagonal stripes, and sentiment on the second card, but this time featuring Lawn Fawn's Happy Hibiscus and Tropical Leaves dies. A few lacy borders and an oval backing add to the layered style:
Lawn Fawn's Goody Bag is a fun way to give out treats at a party, or hand deliver a gift card!
I die cut the bag with Lawn Fawn's Watercolor Wishes Rainbow 12x12 paper. It's double sided, so there's a pretty green inside lining. The Slimline Tropical Leaves Border fits perfectly around the entire bag. I layered two of them made out of the same Watercolor Wishes Rainbow paper.
The plain tissue paper was ink blended in pink and green using Lawn Fawn's new Tropical Leaves Background Stencils. Tropical Vine Borders were curled around a pencil and added to the packaging, along with a small sentiment tag white heat embossed with a Toucan Do It sentiment.
I decorated the bag with flowers from the Magical Iris Tropical Leaves Add-on along with leaves from the Tropical Leaves Die Set. It's a perfect setting for the toucan from Toucan Do It!

Old Smiley is back! Do you remember him from release week? Well, this time he comes complete with a Pop-Up Campsite inside and a video showing how it all came together:
Here he is taken off the card and stuck to a metal lid to show off his "magnetic" personality:
