Countdown to Confetti | Day Two

Welcome to day two of Countdown to Confetti!  Today we are featuring the new Rain or Shine stamp set, Snail Mail stamp set and their coordinating Confetti Cuts.

My first card features two friends from Rain or Shine, just chillin' on a rainbow of happiness:

I stamped the cats and clouds first, masked them, and then stamped the rainbow in a light ink.  I colored them with Copic markers to give them a "no line" look.

I masked them again, along with the rainbow, and ink blended the background with Distress Oxide Spun Sugar and Wilted Violet.

The sentiment is from the new This Says it All stamp set.  I stamped it onto one of the Three Tags Confetti Cuts that was also ink blended with Distress Oxide.  A little snippet of white velvet ribbon completed the look.

My next two cards and envelope focus on the new Snail Mail stamp set:

I stamped the images onto a kraft card base and envelope with brown ink and colored them with Prismacolor pencils.

For this first card, I stamped and masked one of the envelope images from the set, giving this happy snail a mountain of mail.

He is met by his pal snail on the front of this envelope along with two sentiments from the Snail Mail stamp set.

He then made his way to another card.  This time he's checking the mailbox from Snail Mail.  The flowers and sentiment are also from Snail Mail, and the clouds and sun are from the Rain or Shine stamp set.

Summer Treats with Purple Onion Designs

I thought I'd do a little color blocking today with a combination of friends from the Sunshine Lake release and last summer's Sunny Meadow Fair from Purple Onion Designs:

There are so many fun treats that go hand in hand with summertime!  I white heat embossed the background to show that these friends are on the fairgrounds.  They are all colored with Copic markers.

Count Down to Confetti | Day One

I am delighted and honored to be a "fetti friend", guest designing along with the talented Reverse Confetti team!  This release is phenomenal, and I hope you enjoy the next few days as we Countdown to Confetti!

Today is day one of the countdown and we are featuring the Multi-Step Cacti, Background Builder, and This Says it All stamp sets.  Along the way, you'll also see some stand alone Confetti Cuts including Three Tags, and several new Cover Panels: Cloudy Day, Cross Tiles, and the one on my first card today, Pointed:

I first die cut a white panel with the Pointed Cover Panel.  Next, I stamped the solid stripes from the Background Builder stamp set.  Then I stamped the circles from the same set.

I stamped the Multi-Step Cacti using two shades of green, and embossed one of the layers in white on each of the cacti.  The pots were colored with Copic Markers and the tops were treated with a coat of Nuvo Crystal Drops in Honey Gold.  All of the images were die cut using the Multi-Step Cacti Confetti Cuts.

The sentiments from This Says it All were white heat embossed and colored in with a gold gel pen.  A few Nuvo drops were added to each little vignette to complete the look.

My second card today features the Background Builder set, Cross Tiles Cover Panel, and This Says it All sentiment set:

I first stamped out several circles from the Background Builder set in navy, coral, and aqua.  The aqua circles are a combination of the solid circle and the dotted circle stamps from the set.  Using the same ink colors, I swiped the ink onto white cardstock and cut it out with the Cross Tiles Cover Panel.  I arranged the inside pieces in a pattern on top of the circle background.  Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from the This Says It All stamp set.

SugarPea Designs Mix It Up Challenge #69

Welcome to July and the start of a new challenge over at SugarPea Designs!  I was inspired by the sketch, the photo, and the colors this time around except for one little green leaf.  I just had to leave that bitty bit of green off my card.  I also translated the grey and tan as silver and gold.
I started with silver heat embossing starburst images from Cheers to You, and gold embossed hearts from Sentiments of Love.  The panel was then ink blended with Wilted Violet Distress Oxide, spritzed with water, and then ink blended some more with Shaded Lilac and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide.  I added tiny stars using the Outdoor Scene Builder stencil and Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer Paste.  I then cut the panel with a stitched rectangle from the Card Front Element Builder SugarCut.
The Love Word was cut from brushed gold cardstock and the rest of the sentiment from Sentiments of Love were stamped with clear ink onto strips, silver heat embossed, and blended with the same Distress Oxide inks.
SugarPea Designs Supplies:

Dies: Love, Card Front Element Builder
