Caring Hearts Card Drive

I'm happy to participate in the Caring Hearts Card Drive this year.  There's still plenty of time to join in on the fun!  I made each of the cards below with a tag as the focal point.  I made 20 cards, 3-5 tags of each of the designs and added them to a simple dry embossed snowflake background.  Each of the cards has a message stamped inside.  I kept the inside message simple and bold so it would be easy to read.

The three designs above were cut using the Silhouette and embellished with some of my favorite Christmas images (supplies listed below).  The top two are shaker tags.

The two tags above feature PTI stamps and dies.

This little guy is a retired image from LOTV called Puppy Post.

The Caring Hearts Card Drive is a great way to reach out to our lonely elders living in nursing homes.  I hope to make more cards for this fantastic cause.  Click on the link to get all the details.

Tag, You're It! #75 with Marcia Hill

Today we kick off a new challenge over at Tag, You're It! with a wonderful fall scene by my dear blogging friend, Marcia Hill!  Marcia is my special guest for this challenge.  Marcia is a beautiful, talented, and encouraging card maker and blogger.  She has a "clean and layered" style which I LOVE, and she's not afraid to try new techniques.

When I saw Marcia's tag, I was so excited to recreate the fall theme, but as you can see, my tag decided to take another route.

I received a gift certificate in a release blog hop from Studio Katia.  Thank you, Studio Katia!  I chose this adorable stamp set and tag die.  Although it's fall, and this bear is getting ready to go into hibernation, just now he's ready for a party!  The tag shape is similar to Marcia's and her fall sky turned into a blue glittery background for my bear.  The floating orange balloon is reflective of Maria's little orange leaf.
