Twofer Card Challenge #13: Stars

Oh my stars!  Look what the latest Twofer Card Challenge is all about - STARS, of course!  My star of choice comes from the MFT Bundle of Baby Clothes die set.
I showed this twofer to my family, and they couldn't see the connection.  I think they were looking for how I hid that big star from my patriotic card on the baby card.  I had to point to the little stars on the top that are also on the little overalls.
I was excited to use up scraps to make these darling clothes, but it really didn't use up very much.
This card I'll keep on hand for an occasion of someone joining the service.

I hope you will join us on this stellar journey!  There are so many ways to use stars on our cards.  Over at the Twofer Challenge blog, The Twofer design team and our guests, Barb Ghig and Cat Craig have some fantastic inspiration to get you started.

Supplies:
Stamps:  SSS Tilted Banner Sayings, MFT Welcome, Baby
Dies:  MFT Bundle of Baby Clothes, SSS Tilted Banners, Altenew 3D star die, LF Scalloped Treat Box Spring Add-on (little flowers)
Paper:  MME My Girl, MFT Dots and Stripes Confection, silver mirror cardstock and other cs scraps
Other:  VersaMark, SSS Fine Detail Silver EP, Ranger Princess Gold EP, Wink of Stella - clear, silver thread - Hobby Lobby

Thanks for coming over to visit!  I hope you have a wonderful day!

  2. So cute Kara! I have that little laundry set and have yet to use it. I think it's super clever how you focused on the little star for your two cards. What a great example of extending the use of your dies.

  3. Beautiful stars and stripes card and so vibrant. The laundry is so darn cute. I did see the stars right away and that is so cute to use the teeny ones to decorate. Great twofer.

What an adorable card that baby card is...those outfits are SO sweet and I even love the tiny, TINY silver hangers too!! And what a perfect card to give someone joining the military...love it! 5. I'm so in love with those wee little clothes in such fun and colorful pp, just like wee clothes should be! And after eyeballing them for several minutes and oohing and aahing over them and the little clothesline and wee hangers, I saw the absolutely perfect sediment to go along with this design! I mean, if there were a Most Adorable Card of 2019, you would win with this!! I am equally in love with your patriotic card for someone in the service! Talk about a card that will be cherished! You should submit this to every stamping magazine out there, btw, because it is front cover camera ready!! Hugs, Darnell

Oh, I totally forgot about the star connection! You are brilliant to have thought of these two ways to use your tiny stars! You have us all focusing on that magnificent big white textured star with the beautiful banner!!

  17. I'm behinder. Again. Troubles with either our thermostat or furnace. Ugh. Anyhoo...Your cards are awesome. Love those baby clothes, and am wondering if those dies are calling my name....Great way to use up scraps! This card could be for boy/girl twins, too! Great big star card. Just bring this one down to a USO center; they'll see it gets into the hands of a soldier. You'll have to ask me how I know! These are wonderful and just so you know...you're amazing. Bev
