It's Time for a Twofer Card Challenge!

It's the tenth of the month and that means a new Twofer Card Challenge is under way!  It's also Twofer's second blogaverasary and in celebration, Twofer is offering some amazing prizes!  Details are over on the Twofer Card Challenge blog.  'Tis the season of love, so the theme this month is hearts.  My heart of choice is a die cut from SugarPea Designs called Simple Heart:

That crazy colorful panel (which also shimmers, btw) was made with Lindy's Magicals.  I'm not sure which ones as it was from a while ago when Marcia Hill introduced them to me.  I finally cut into it, but still kept it pretty much intact.
The hearts and back panel were created with Brusho watercolor powders.  Lots of inky fun!
We hope that you will join us in the Twofer gallery!  There is so much inspiration over there by our guest designers, Jane Willis, and Jacquie Southas and the rest of the team.  Speaking of the team, please welcome our newest member, my very dear friend, Marcia Hill!  Stop by and say hello!

Stamps:  SugarPea Designs Sentiments of Love, Heart Prints

  5. When I think of hearts, or heart shapes, this exact one comes to mind. It's not too skinny, not too fat, not weird, or anything that makes my mind go, "meh." And I love what you've done with them. The sentiment on the first heart is perfect...I'm guessing the set comes like that, but it's just so perfect! Gorgeous panel, btw. You know how my turn out...like used t.p., hahahaha! Pretty Valentine, too. You've set off your Brushoed panel and hearts wonderfully with the scalloped red panel. Great cards!! xoxo Bev

  8. Two FABULOUS cards Kara and I love that you used one of your Magicals backgrounds! I know they're hard to photograph but I can just imagine all that shimmer from all the way across the big lake! Such a simple design but absolutely lovely!! And your Brusho hearts are just as pretty and so perfect for a Valentines card...maybe for hubby?? Hope you have a great weekend my friend and aren't getting all this crappy weather we're supposed to be getting tomorrow...think I'm just going to play in my craft room tomorrow where it's nice and sunny and warm and filled with stamps!! Hugs. :0)

  9. Two bold and beautiful heart cards using Lindy's, Kara! I think we played with them at the Lake House, too, so you know I'm in love with that gorgeous background on your thank you card! I love the colors, the sweet flag sediment, and the corner heart sediment to balance the design! And your Valentine is all fiery and sexy and I'm sure a certain someone will love it!! Hugs, Darnell

  10. Bet those Lindy's Magicals shimmer and shine beautifully, Kara ... that panel puts me in mind of a twinkling pool one just can't stop looking into! Love how you picked out the teal and pink from the panel for the frame and for the banner and heart ... they're really eye-catching! The rich, red smooshiness on your Saint Valentine's Day card hearts is just delicious ... it adds such fabulous depth to the layering! Big hugs and bisous, Anita :)
