My grandparents owned a resort in Northern Wisconsin and the lake looked very much like this one, except for the mountains - picture thick pine woods instead. I learned to water ski on that lake behind a red speed boat with a white stripe. See those water skis? Yep, they were red with white too! Ah, does this bring back memories! Even that peninsula was part of the resort. We would have campfires out there. Later, my uncle and aunt took over running the resort and I spent my summers through high school and college working there - cleaning cabins, waiting on tables, washing dishes, and teaching kids how to ski. That resort holds some of the best memories of my life.
I used Copics to color everything plus a white gel pen for the wake and water splashes. I'll wait and put the sentiment on the inside once I know the occasion. I love that this can fit almost anything fun and enjoyable.
