The Sweetest Little Town by Stacey Yacula for Purple Onion Designs

Purple Onion Designs has the new winter release by Stacey Yacula!  It's called The Sweetest Little Town, and it really is that sweet!
I'll be posting several cards in the upcoming week, but today I'm featuring this blustery little scene:

Everything was colored with Copic markers.  I selectively masked areas to look like the light was shining through the windows, and then lightly ink blended the background.  White acrylic paint was speckled on everything with a still brush to create the flurries.  Mama and baby bear were stamped separately, fussy cut, and adhered with foam tape for a little dimension.

Stacey Yacula's new release is available now at Purple Onion Designs
The complete collection, plus the Holiday Messages sentiment set, is bundled at 30% off the regular price now until November 15th.

Copics:  E43,44,47,50,51,53,55,57, C00,0,1,3,4,6, BG10,13,15,23, YR16,21, Y02, G21,24,28, YG67, R24,27,89
Distress Inks:  Stormy Sky, Black Soot

Thanks for coming over to visit!
May the Lord bless you today!

  1. I saw this and almost had a heart attack. I just ordered a big order of Stacy's previous season's Purple Onion stamps I had on my list to get a few days ago. I thought oh goodness! But, since we're talking about my favorite stamp designer I had to grab this new collection while it was on sale. Wish my luck in telling my husband! ha ha...luckily he's a very sweet man!

  2. What a beautiful scene. I love all that snow and thinking what a great time they are having shopping. There will be a little cafe along the way for them to pop in and have hot chocolate. That's what this makes me think of. So cute, Kara.

  4. Love this scene you've created Kara...you've made the snow seem so enchanting (even though we both know it's not all that enchanting!!)! Probably because you've colored the whole store fronts and critters so charmingly that it makes the scene look totally magical! Cute, CUTE card my friend!! Hugs. :0)
