This month, I have a little series (three cards) of clean and simple
winter cards featuring Purple Onion Designs with Zig Clean Color brush
markers. We had a couple of road trips which meant I had time in the
car to color. I decided to leave the Copics at home and work with a
medium that I usually neglect.
This card includes stamps from Stacey Yacula's new collection: Woodstock, and Mailbox.
The sentiment is from the new Holiday Messages Sentiment stamps.
Once I returned home, I also used Lawn Fawn's Snowy Sky stencil and some Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer Paste
mixed with Milled Lavender Distress Ink to complete the snowy scene.
Those Zigs are a lot of fun! I'll post the next card in the series soon.
Thanks for coming over to visit!
May the Lord bless you today!

This is adorable Kara! Well done using your Zigs too!! What a clever idea to add some lavender color to the glimmer paste. A genius idea!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute card, I really like this.

Oh Kara little Woodstock is just awesome and your card is fabulous...gosh I am looking at all your details, which really brings the card to life...you still amaze me. We need another retreat, this time I get to sit next to you, do you think anything could rub off on me? * wink Happy New Year Friend!
ReplyDeleteI don't think it would matter if you colored with a dull crayon, Kara, it would still be incredible! This is just as cute as cute can be. I like the simplicity!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see what other cuties you colour! I haven't used my Zigs in an age either.....
ReplyDeleteI can barely type in the car let alone color without having a hot mess on my hands! And then to have colored this perfect little fox and mailbox with Zigs no less??!! (I have a love/hate relationship with Zigs, but I'm getting better with them.) Your card is absolutely ADORABLE Kara and I can't wait to see the other cards too! Lots of hugs my friend!! :0)
ReplyDeleteKara, this is just too adorable and wonder like Marcia how you managed to color in the car. Such beautiful coloring and so such a sweet card.
ReplyDeleteWhat a happy little card, Kara! I'm not surprised to discover that you are as much of a pro with the Ziggies as you are with Copics ... and while riding in the car, no less!! Our husband must be a very smooth operat, er, I mean, driver!! Happy New Year! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteI agree with Colleen, we need another retreat. How I wish that could happen. You can color in any medium and this is adorable. You are really great with creating shadows and this card shows that so well.
