Twofer Card Challenge #30: Sun/Moon

It's the tenth of the month which means it's time to begin a new challenge over at Twofer Card Challenge!  This month our theme is sun/moon.  You may choose either one.  I chose a favorite W+9 sun image from A Pocketful.  It has retired from their collection, probably years ago, but it's still one of my go-to sets for spreading sunshine:
I masked and ink blended with Distress inks and then stamped the sun on top of that.  The pocket was stamped with blue ink onto blue cardstock.  I used a white gel pen to highlight the stitching on the pockets and also gold heat embossed the grommets.  The start of the sentiment was white heat embossed onto the pocket and the ink blended die cut word finishes the sentiment.
I stamped the sun in two different shades on this birthday card, turning the stamp to fill in more rays.  The flowers are from the same stamp set.  I added some shaded detail with Copic markers.  The panel was layered with a couple of cardstocks and a white diecut  lace border.  The sentiment, from the same stamp set, was white heat embossed.
Check out all of the inspiration from our guest designers and design team at the Twofer Card Challenge, and then come play along!

Make It By Marko Innovative Product Giveaway!

Today I have some Make It by Marko crafting tools to share.  I met Rebecca Marko through a mutual friend, Linda Weiss, who owns our local paper crafting store, Valley Stamp and Scrap.  Linda carries lots of Make It by Marko products in her store and they are so helpful and fun!  Rebecca sent me some of these crafting tools to try and I immediately wanted to make a video to spread the word.

In the video, I share a lot of information about these tools and then I put them into action as I make a Lawn Fawn Build An Aquarium note card.
Thanks so much for watching!

Make It by Marko products are available at their Esty store and also through some craft store retailers.

After I told Rebecca that I was making a video, she offered to sponsor two give-away prize packs - one in teal, and the other in purple.  Once you've watched the video, if you would like to be eligible for this give-away, please leave a comment below and I will randomly choose two winners on August 22nd (limited to US and Canada addresses only).

Reverse Confetti Release Day and Blog Hop!

Today I'm hopping along as a 'Fetti Friend with the Reverse Confetti Design Team!

Yesterday I shared a couple of cards in which the hands were colored with Copic markers.  Today I wanted to keep the hands uncolored to symbolize that love is not about the color of our skin, but rather, the actions of our heart.

Using the new Reverse Confetti You Matter stamp set, I stamped partial areas of the hands stamp all around the outer edges of a white 4.25"x5.5" cardstock panel.  I colored around the hands with BG45 and BG49 Copic markers.

I stamped the sentiment in teal ink onto the inner panel of Reverse Confetti's Stitched Note and Frames Confetti Cuts, and scribbled Copic BG45 over the top.  I also used teal ink to stamp the hearts from the new Reverse Confetti You Matter stamp set, and colored them with Copics.

The new Reverse Confetti release is available today! I hope you're enjoying the hop, the list is down below, and don't forget that Reverse Confetti's summer sale is on now!

A Special Mini Release | Countdown to Confetti

Today, Reverse Confetti has a one day Countdown to Confetti that features their new "You Matter" stamp set and Confetti Cut!  Stay tuned tomorrow for a Blog hop as well!

I created two cards today.  This first card is a tri-fold slimline card.  Here's a close-up:

I colored each of the hands a different skin color with Copic markers.

The "love" die word on the front of the card comes with the Confetti Cut.

The Confetti Cut set also includes the stitched circle and a die to cut the inner area of the hands.

I stamped the sentiment on the inside and added die cut hearts that were left over from the "o" in the words "love" from the front of the card.

The next card features some no-line Copic coloring in which I colored the hands in pairs rather than individually.

I framed the hands using two colors of cardstock and Reverse Confetti's Lacy Scallop Circles Confetti Cuts.

The background was created with Reverse Confetti's Background Builder stamp set and the sentiment is from the You Matter stamp set.  They were both stamped in two different colors of purple.

Make sure to come back tomorrow to join us on the hop!

SugarPea Designs August Mix it Up Challenge

It's time for a new challenge over at SugarPea Designs!  Our neighbor makes the most amazing rhubarb pie.  When our daughter graduated high school in June, she brought over a tin of that warm, bubbly goodness!  So I decided to make her a rhubarb pie - a paper one:

I was inspired by this month's sketch and colors.  I die cut a white heart from the Postage Stamp SugarCut set, adhered it to a white panel, and ink blended with Fired Brick Distress Ink over both of the them.

I dotted Copic markers throughout the center of the pie to create the filling, and then covered it with Glossy Accents.  The crust and whipped cream dollops were also shaded with Copic markers.

I hope you will join us this month for SugarPea Designs' Mix It Up Challenge!  Take a look at the inspiration below and see what inspires you:

Stock Your Stash Challenge: Wedding at Reverse Confetti

Do you have a wedding card handy, or have they all been depleted from your stash?  It's time to Stock Your Stash with Reverse Confetti!  This month we're stocking up on wedding cards.

Wedding bells are ringing for these two sweetheart snails.  It's the non-traditional wedding cards that stand out in the crowd, and this particular card, featuring Snail Mail, is for a couple that both enjoy gardening.

The snails and mushrooms from Sail Mail were stamped, colored with Copic markers, and cut out with the Snail Mail Confetti Cuts.

I stamped a stripe from the Background Builder stamp set, onto the panel.  I found a perfect sentiment from Best Sentiments, and stamped it partially on top of the stripe.

The snails and mushrooms were arranged above the stripe with the snails popped up on foam adhesive.

I hope you will join us for this exciting challenge, and stock your stash with a new wedding card!  Check out the Reverse Confetti Blog for all the details and your chance to win!
