No Line Copic Coloring Day 3

Today is the third and last day of the series I have now decided to call, "No Line Coloring With Stamps Borrowed From My Friend, Birgit "  This wonderful mermaid image is from Honey Bee Stamps:

The most difficult part for me was creating the scene once the images were colored.  I did not like coloring the water over her, but I wanted her to look like she was in it, not in front of it.  The bubbles and light beams were done with the Copic 0 and a little white gel pen.

Thank you, Birgit, for letting me borrow your stamps!  I had so much fun coloring them!

Supplies:
Stamps:  Honey Bee Stamps Swimming By
Dies:  MFT Thanks and Hello
Paper:  PTI Green Parakeet, Royal Velvet
Copics:  0, B000,00,21,60 for the water.  Unfortunately I misplaced my list of Copics that I used.  I will update the post if/when I find it.
Other:  Signo white gel pen

Thanks for coming over to visit!  I hope you are having a wonderful day!

Mirror Stamping for See-Saw Fun

The couple from Lawn Fawn's Bicycle Built for You found a park along their ride here on the front of my card:

The boy was mirror stamped to face his girl friend.  I didn't get a crisp stamped image, so I used a Copic Multi-liner to even out the stamp lines. Both were colored with Copics and fussy cut.  The see-saw was stamped on kraft cs twice, shaded with Copics, and cut separately.  They were fixed together with a brad so the couple can move up and down.  I added foam tape to the base for easier movement.  The sentiment will go on the inside of the card.

Lawnfawnatics has a great sketch challenge going on right now.  I used the see-saw as the narrow horizontal block and switched out a square for the circle.
Supplies:
Lawn Fawn Stamps:  Bicycle Built for You, Let's Play
Lawn Fawn Dies:  Quilted Backdrop, Pivot Pop-Up (cloud and tree), Stitched Hillside Pop-up (partial cut for grass), Scalloped Box Card Pop-Up (stitched rectangle for sky and grass)
Lawn Fawn Paper:  Perfectly Plaid 6x6 paper pad
Copics:  E000,00,02, 21,23,25,27,29,31,51,53,55,57, RV21,23,25, R32,35,37,39, B60,63,66, C00,02, black Multi-liner

Twofer Card Challenge #5: Butterflies

A brand new Twofer Card Challenge starts today!  Our theme this time is butterflies.  I used the same die on both cards from MFT's Flutter of Butterflies - lace.
The first card focuses on patterned paper and a shaped edge border whereas the second card is all about gold heat embossing and whimsical watercoloring.

The blue/gold card was fun to create.  I painted along the heat embossed swirls with a blue Zig CCRB pen.  The solid portion of the butterflies was inked in gold and the lace portion was partially embossed and watercolored with the same blue marker.  The white sentiment on the bottom balances the white at the top.

The 'Miss You' card is all patterned paper and acetate.  The acetate adds a subtle texture to the wings, but lets the pp remain the focus.

It's all aflutter over at the Twofer Card Challenge blog with new creations from the design team, and we'd love to have you join us!

Supplies:
Stamps:  PTI Fancy Flourishes, PTI Birthday Cheer, MFT Written in Water Color (NBUS),
Dies:  MFT Flutter of Butterflies Solid and Lace, PTI Birthday Cheer
Paper:  Kaiser Craft - Lush Collection, Acetate, Bristol Smooth CS
Ink/Markers:  VersaMark, Brilliance Galaxy Gold, Zig Clean Color Real Brush #30-Blue
Other:  Ranger Princess Gold EP, Zing white EP,  MME Kate&Co green enamel dot, Basic Grey enamel dots

Surgery Woes, But A Bright Future Ahead

Well, my surgery did not go as planned.  It ended up being a full torn rotator cuff repair and my left shoulder is still immobilized for a few more weeks.  The physical therapist moves my shoulder twice a week and that is all for now.  Thankfully this is temporary, but I wanted to let you know why I'm really not back in blogland yet.

Before surgery, I put a few posts together for some upcoming events.  Birthdays, babies, and graduations wait for no man, nor should they.

My nephew is graduating this May and starting law school in the fall.  He is such a fantastic guy and has a genuine passion for helping others.  I am so excited for him!
The gator was colored with copics.  I drew a little diploma for him to hold.  The seal is a stamped and gold heat embossed star with a couple of drawn ribbons coming down from it.
The sentiment was computer generated on green cs.  I then cut out the word 'graduate' on the Silhouette (while holding my breath that I measured the placement right).  It was then ink blended and popped up with foam to form a shaker.  The sunshine was stamped on white cs and then clear heat embossed so that the background could be ink blended without turning the yellow sun green.

This gator is going to play in a couple of challenges:
Heffy Doodle Challenge:  Summer Loving - sunshine and graduation is a great start to summer.
Timeout Challenges:  #108 Wild
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge:  Animal Magic

Supplies:
Stamps:  Heffy Doodle Happy Snappy Crocs, WPlus9 A Pocketful,  PTI Galaxy (small star)
Silhouette and Computer generated sentiment font:  Conventional Wisdom, Calibri

Inks:  PTI Bright Buttercup, VersaMark, DI Mowed Lawn, Tumbled Glass
Paper:  MFT Cool as a Cucumber
Other:  Ranger Clear embossing powder, Ranger Princess Gold embossing powder, Michael's star confetti, fun foam
