The next card, void of sentiment, is a thinking of you card. Remember, for the Twofer Challenge, if your card doesn't have a sentiment on the front, you must state the intended occasion.
I wanted to mimic the look of a fabric pattern. I used the Catherine Pooler Lattice Frame die, and cut out some of the lines to create larger diamonds. The bees are heat embossed in gold. The main panel is raised with foam.
I hope you will bee joining us for this fun Twofer Challenge!

Two lovely cards Kara! Your happy little daisies and buzzing bees would brighten anyone's day. The bee's look very striking embossed in gold too. Two very different looks but both are bee-utiful.
ReplyDeleteTwo very coolio cards, my friend. Those flowers look amazing, and the bees are wonderful flitting above them. That's one bee-autiful card! And I do love the embossed card. It's very classy. I have a similar die from PTI though no lattice work in the middle. Those bees fit perfectly in each 'diamond.' As usual, you've outdone yourself. Love 'em!!! Bev
ReplyDeleteI keep looking back and forth between your two designs as if doing so could help me pick a favorite. I can't! They are both so different (hey, that's the point!) that each is in a league of its own. Your little garden of golden flowers with the matching color ombre sediment is just exuding fragrance and warmth and the sound of bees happily buzzing! And your second design is the ultimate in elegance! You have created such a rich look that could be produced for any number of wonderful occasions. I love that you chose to use it to let someone know you are thinking of them! You bee so creative, my friend!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteBoth unique designs and so pretty!! Love the beautiful daisies and the bees buzzing about with your first card! Second card is very elegant and perfect for any occasion, very lovely!
ReplyDeleteThese are two absolutely beautiful cards, Kara! The soft yellow flowers (favorite color) on your thank you card are so artfully created, and I love that you stamped your sentiment in the same color ink, which keeps the soft look going. A totally different look for your thinking of you card with the elegant black on gold. Who would have thought of bees for this gorgeous pattern? Well, you did and it's brilliant!
ReplyDeleteWell you've outdone yourself again my friend...two FABULOUS cards! Absolutely LOVE your flower card (in fact I pulled out the same set because I don't have any other bee stamps...shocking I know!!) and how beautifully you've inked up those sunflowers. Love the shaded sentiment too! And oh my...your gold foil and bee card is SO elegant Kara! I love how perfectly each bee fits in the die cut frame and how well they pop off the black background. Two lovely, lovely cards my friend!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteI like the contrast of your designs Kara! One playful, happy card and one oh so elegant!
ReplyDeleteThe gold card is pure elegance and the flowers are yellow, so of course they make me happy! They are both so wonderful Kara!
ReplyDeleteTwo times terrific, Kara! If I were a bee, I'd make a bee-line to your daisies in a hurry! Gorgeous!

Beautiful Twofers and a great choice of bee images too.
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful bee cards Kara!! Love those sweet flowers with the little bees buzzing about. Great colouring and shading with your copics. Always great to find they are compatible with inks! This is such a happy, sunny card and the receiver is going to love it! Your second card is AWESOME! I have seen tapestry material like this! Amazing design, and so perfect stamping and heat embossing to create the bees inside the framework. Very elegant done in gold on black. Fantastic cards Kara!! xx
ReplyDeleteFabulous designs, Kara! Love how you created such different looks with one little bee! The daisies make such a fresh, sunny card. I can see why your little bees would want to visit. And the embossing with the black and gold is so elegant!
ReplyDeleteThey're gorgeous!! Funny I made a bee card this week and didn't know it was on a twofer challenge... May(bee) I should make another!
ReplyDeleteTwo beauties, Kara - just love the bees among the flowers but the background your created with the die and gold embossing looks amazing!!
ReplyDeleteTwo simply gorgeous cards!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful field of dreamy blooms, Kara, drifting in the soft summer breeze ... just the perfect scene for your sweet little bees! Stylish, elegant twofer ... the gold and black is so chic and dramatic ... it has a fabulous art deco feel about it ... gorgeous! Big hugs and bee-sous! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteYour field of flowers with the pollen hungry bees is beautiful, Kara. Coloring over the stamping really brought the flowers to life. The other card is so elegant with all the gold on black. I never thought about cutting parts of that die out but I love the look and will try it myself.
