Three Inky Backgrounds with Lawn Fawn | Video!

Here's a fun color combination of Distress Inks:  Speckled Egg and Chipped Sapphire.
I decided to try a variety of watercolor backgrounds using those inks and the newest release from Lawn Fawn:

The first background is a combination of ink blending and applying ink/water to a dry background:

The second background is ink applied with a brush onto a wet background:

The third background is ink smooshed directly onto the paper and then spritzed with water:

I created a video demonstrating how I created each background.  You can watch it here, on Lawn Fawn's YouTube channel, or on my YouTube channel:

Thanks so much for watching, liking, and subscribing to my channel!

  1. I love all three ways you added color. The combination of inks is beautiful and those cards are wonderful. Thanks for the video. It inspires me to try watercolor again. You make it look so easy and fun. I have my Lawn Fawn order in and can't wait to get it.

  2. Three terrific inked backgrounds and three cute cards!

  3. I really like how your cards aren't the traditional red and white. I love the colors you used on all three of the cards!!
