Making Valentine's in the Classroom with Lawn Fawn | Video

Getting a head start on Valentine's Day this year.  This card is for any teacher that works hard allowing her students to create and make messes in her classroom:

The classroom scene is one layer.  Everything was stamped and masked in layers, colored with Copic markers, and then re-masked to ink blend the background.

Happy Hearts All Around!

 Lawn Fawn's Simply Celebrate Hearts stamp set compliments the new Happy Hearts washi tape!  The row of hearts was heat embossed in white, with black embossed faces.  They were water colored with Distress inks, and the cheeks were stamped in Lawn Fawn Bubblegum ink once dry.

Penguin Shaker Christmas Tags with Purple Onion Designs

This little penguin, Winter, is part of the latest release, A Little Christmas Magic, illustrated by Stacey Yacula.  He's sitting on top of a double window shaker tag.  He was colored with Copic markers and fussy cut.  The tag was cut out of white cs, craft foam, and patterned paper.  The shaker bits are sandwiched between two pieces of acetate within the layers of foam and paper.  The sentiment was heat embossed in black.

An Ugly Sweater Magnetic Advent Calendar

 Here's an interactive card using Lawn Fawn's Ugly and Bright stamp set.  The sweaters and numbers were stamped in clear ink and heat embossed with black embossing powder.  A little ink smooshing and white gel pen dressed them up before they were cut out and added to thin sheet magnet.

The little sweater magnets were then added to the front of the card with mini glue dots. 

The inside of the card contains a magnetic deer.  I used a larger speech bubble to add my own message, explaining what to do.  I also added an extra magnetic sweater for the deer to wear once the advent days were over.  They can all be used again and again.

A Little Christmas Magic is In the Air at Purple Onion Designs!

I already shared this on Instagram, but was traveling at the time and didn't get a blog post prepared in time.  Stacey Yacula's illustrated A Little Christmas Magic, the newest release over at Purple Onion Designs.  The Nordic Road and Destination Sign were stamped together and colored with Copics.  I held my breath as I re-stamped the names on the signs in black ink after coloring everything.  I masked a large circle and ink blended around everything in shades of blue.  I added some faint Copic details to the moon and then ink blended a bit of yellow in the center before heat embossing the Santa Silhouette in black.

It's That Time of Year with Purple Onion Designs' New Release

 The Troops at the North Pole are resting a bit easier now that Santa is on his way:

The background, Nordic Road, was colored with Copic markers and then ink blended with Distress inks.  The Santa Silhouette was stamped directly onto the background, while the other images were colored with Copics and cut out individually.

It's All in a Day's Work with Purple Onion Designs

 Let's go inside Santa's workshop to see what's going on inside:

I used the craft table from an earlier release and placed it in the center of the room.  Ralphie (the fox) was a little short to stand back there, so I cut off his legs and added them further down under the table.  All of the images were colored with Copic markers, fussy cut, and placed in the room.

Oh Deer, It's A New Release From Purple Onion Designs!

All of the images were colored with Copic markers.  They were stamped and masked to create a one layer scene, but then I decided to cut the snow and images as one piece and placed it over an ink blended sky.  The sentiment was heat embossed on the background with white embossing powder.

An Autumn Magic Iris Birdhouse with Lawn Fawn

The magic iris' newest add-on is the sunflower, but today I use the sunflower to decorate the Magic Iris Birdhouse add-on!  I used textured cardstock and woodgrain cardstock for all of the leaves, flowers, and birdhouse.  Everything was ink blended with Lawn Fawn ink.

The flower petals were trimmed apart and modified slightly to add dimension.  The bird was modified to become a cardinal:
