Mushroom Note Card - Adding Depth to Die Cuts

Lawn Fawn's Mushroom House die cut makes a great little note card.  It even fits into a 3 1/2 x 3 1/2" envelope made out of a 6x6" piece of paper!

I colored the house with Copics and made a video to explain my process:

Here's the little envelope with a stitched rectangle for the recipient's name:

You can watch the video here or on YouTube:

Supplies:
Stamps:  Lawn Fawn Oh Gnome (inside sentiment)
Dies: Lawn Fawn Mushroom House, Scallop Box Card Pop-Up (stitched rectangle)
Paper:  Lawn Fawn Spring Fling
Copics:  W0,1,2, E40,41,42, R30,32,35,37,39, C00,0,1,2, YG17, G17
Other:  We R Memory Keepers Punch Board, Jewel Picker

Thanks for coming over to visit!  I hope you have a wonderful day!

Your video was wonderful (for some reason I couldn't bring it up on youtube...would love if you could add a link on your blog) although I have to tell you my Copic list has just grown after watching this one! Love how you created the shading on the stem of the mushroom...so realistic looking! Such a cute, cute card and definitely brought a smile to my face!! :0)

  3. I was mesmerized by your video and how you meticulously and beautifully colored all these cute images to make your dimensional mushroom note card! Amazing, Skyecho, just amazing!! If I weren't so old and loaded down with paints and markers I would switch over to Copics. You are the BEST teacher!! Miss you! Have a great weekend! Hugs, Darnell p.s. Thank you for quickly making the envelope, too. I have one of those dealiebobs and I don't know why I let it intimidate me. You gave me reassurance that it's not hard and I'm just being a knucklehead!

  15. Oh my goodness, Kara ... how adorable is this little mushroom note card! I was transported into another world watching you colour and create this tiny masterpiece ... the attention to detail is awesome, not just in the colouring and shading (which, of course, is simply splendid!) but also on the floor and that door. The woodgrain is so perfectly balanced on both sides ... even a carpenter couldn't fault it!! Thank you ... what a lovely start to my morning! Big hugs, Anita :)
