The first card has an interactive tab for the car to drive across, revealing the sentiment behind it like car exhaust. The slider fits between two foam adhesive "tracks" under the grass on both sides of the road.
With two teenage daughters, I know the nest will be empty all too soon. I also know that they are going to shine wherever they go. I added Glossy Accents to the main word and to the bug. The sun rays were blended with a little Wild Honey DI.

These are just as cute as can be Kara!! I can just see your teen age girls scooting around in these little bugs. The slider...... AWESOME! So fun my friend!
ReplyDeleteHow cute these are! Your cards always tell a story and I love the luggage as she starts her journey. Adding the hearts to the wheels on the "I miss you" is a sweet touch. Two great cards, Kara.
ReplyDeleteWow, these cards are really quite spectacular. I love how you have used the sunshine rays on the background of your second card. I might try to use that idea sometime. hope that's allowed xx
ReplyDeleteMan. you rock! Reminds me of one of those fun big-wheeled toys that you pulled back to load, and let go to launch!! Fun, times two!
ReplyDelete=]
Oh my gosh ... these are fabulous cards Kara!! LOVE the first card with the traveling scene and wonderful sentiment. I love the interactive tab you've added. So fun!! Your second card is amazing with the layering and fabulous design. What a great card for one of your daughters as they head off from home. xx
ReplyDeleteKara! these cards are tremendous! I especially LOVE the creative interactive version!! Brilliant : )
ReplyDeleteI love interactive cards, Gertrude (pronounced Kara). Just making a quick stop to let you know how cute those cards are, and to tell you that I'm thinking of you. xo Bev
ReplyDeleteYour cards are always like little books of joy, Kara, colored flawlessly! You tell wonderful stories with each design! I love how you made your miss you card an interactive one with the car moving down the road to reveal the sediment! What a blast! And your card reflecting on your daughters leaving the nest soon brought a tear to my eye. It will be a bittersweet time, but a proud one, too, knowing that you instilled these young women with maturity and responsibility and a desire to make it on their own! Fabulous!! Miss you, my friend! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteThese are DARLING!! I LOVE the coloring and your design just ROCKS!
ReplyDeleteThese two cards were love at first sight! Oh, my gosh, how cute! Even more so after seeing that the "miss you" card is interactive. Love the tree lined hillside on that one, too. Well, what's not to love about both cards? Designs, coloring, cleverness are all fantastic, Kara!
ReplyDeleteOh my...could these cards be any sweeter Kara?! I just LOVE the "bug" image you used on both cards...think I'm going to have to check that out! And both cards flawlessly colored too!! Love, LOVE the interactive card too!! These are both absolutely perfect cards my friend!! :0)
ReplyDeleteOh they are fantastic!! That car is so adorable and I just love how you extended the road to make a slider... Genius!
ReplyDeleteTwo amazing cards full of fun and cuteness!
ReplyDeleteHow charming is this delightful girl in her cute car, Kara ... she's adorable in each scene! That luscious shine on the sentiment and those warm rays of sunshine light her up beautifully ... and I love the interactive card where those lovely words appear as she drives off! Yep, it was amazing we both chose the same idea and sentiment for one of our cards. If I'd have seen yours, which I'm certain will have been up eons before mine, it would be understandable, though as I didn't (I don't look so as to avoid being influenced), it was especially spooky! It was also rather nice really that the muse hit us both in the same way! Sorry to be so late coming by ... life took on ususually large proportions during the last fortnight and only today has it begun to shrink ... looking forward to a little normality (hahahahaha!) Big hugs and bisous, Anita :)
ReplyDeletesuper cute set of cards, kara! your coloring is absolutely amazing, as always!
ReplyDeleteLove you reminiscent of the V W Bug cards...I learned to drive in one back in the day and had 3 of my own.
