The Twelve Kits of Occasions: June Edition

It's time to say good-bye to June with a big parade of cards as a send-off.  The Twelve Kits of Occasions was hosted by Birgit this month, and she gave us a kit full of gorgeous papers, fun images, and wonderful diecuts so we could have some "Summer Fun"!  Yes, that is the name of the kit, and now I am ready for all sorts of summer birthdays and activities.  Thank you, Birgit!

Starting with this little sweetheart!  I'm thinking that her favorite color is pink...
This penguin must be visiting Alaska and embracing the 4th of July celebration!
Birgit included the most beautiful set of summer patterned papers in this kit.  I fussy cut one of them and wrapped it around a stitched scallop rectangle of another.
These fruit slices that Birgit sent really put a smile on my face!
I love the pinks and greens for these watermelon papers.
This blue bird was so much fun to color.  I thought he went great with the worn worn grain paper.
This card was my take on Florida living.  Definitely not Wisconsin living!  I dream of being a snow bird.  I added a little Copic shading to the stamped images.
These pudgy little penguins are adorable!
This bird was cut out of another patterned paper.  He's the perfect focal point on this wreath.
I love these retro VW bugs so I created two simple birthday cards for some bug lovers I know.

If you got down this far, thank you for viewing!  Thanks, Birgit, for this kit full of summer fun!

Dies:
Lawn Fawn Cole's ABCs, Fancy Scallop Rectangle Stackables, Sunrise Backdrop, Happy Birthday Border, MFT Rounded Stitched Square Frames, Cheers, Double Stitched Square Frame, Smile, Scalloped Rectangles, SSS You, ME Hello, Spellbinders Scalloped Circle stax, Newton's Nook Framework, Catherine Pooler Lattice Frame

Thanks for coming over to visit!  I hope you have a great day!

  1. Oh my Kara, I just knew I couldn't wait to see your coloring skills in action on the images in this kit and you truly blew my mind with every card!! I love the beach baby in pink with those little flowers you added to her beach towel... so cute!! And that beautifully blended sunny background and the beach sand. I'm in awe!! The blue bird card is stunning and again, your coloring is amazing. The bird really stands out beautifully against that washed wood background. Your Florida card is so warm and colorful and full of summer itself as is that fun tropical toucan in the leafy wreath. What a delight seeing how you used this kit! I see a lot of CASE-ing in my future. Have a warm and sunny summer my friend!
