SugarPea Designs September Release Day 3

Slug Bug Red (or punch buggie, if that's your thing)!  This retro VW die is so much fun!  There's even a score line so that the door can open!  It's day three of SugarPea Designs' sneak peek week and so many fun new products to share!

I cut the car out of both red and white card stock and colored the white pieces with Copic markers.  The tires were cut from black and it all came together like pieces of a puzzle.  The tree was shaded as well, and the background is stamped with the new Buffalo Check background stamp.  There are two new word dies with borders.  I used the word "merry", and there is also the word, "joy".
I love the white on red buffalo plaid I've been seeing on Pinterest, so that's where my inspiration came from for this card.  It includes the tree that comes with the Christmas Car die set, and the new Oh So Jolly Sentiments stamp set.

Also Used:
Dies:  Zig Zag Stitched Rectangles, Postage Stamp
Ink: VersaMark,
Copics:  BG000,01, C00,1,2,3, E23
Other:  SSS fine detail white embossing powder

  19. We always played "buggy" during a long car ride so that brings back fun memories in the car with the boys. Whoever saw the most, won. I'm loving the plaid and always I'm drawn to cards with trees. Two fun cards.

  20. What a brilliant die that VW Beetle is, Kara ... that's what we call them over on this side of the pond ... so fun well loaded with the Christmas tree! Those snowy trees pop brilliantly against the buffalo plaid ... crisp, fresh and deliciously clean! Big hugs and bisous, Anita :)
