During
Brenda's retreat in October, many of my friends shared fun inking techniques and I'm just now starting to make them into cards. Here are just a couple of them:
Thanks to
Darnell, I created this background using Lindy's Magicals on yupo paper. No alcohol required (we saved that for happy hour). Darnell also gifted us this adorable stamp set by Whimsy Stamps: Addicted to Rubber Stamps. This lady sort of reminds me of the ending credits of the Carol Burnett show, although she wasn't so pleasantly plump.
Brenda taught us a technique using embossing powder to create a patina effect. She also gifted us this wonderful stamp set from Penny Black: Strength. This sentiment in particular makes me think of all my crafting friends scattered all over the world!
I sure am thankful to all of you for your support, encouragement, and inspiration. I know I wouldn't have a fraction of the fun with this hobby without all of you!
Thanks for coming over to visit! May the Lord bless you today!

Looks like you had fun at the retreat lol. Love the finished card designs Kara!
ReplyDeleteTwo great cards! That cleaning lady does remind me of Carol Burnett. So fun! Looks like you had a fun time at your retreat. Wishing you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteTwo totally different cards yet each is fabulous!! I love the way you used that BG with Lindy's magicals and the second card is incredible!
ReplyDeleteYou are exactly right, the washer woman is just like the one Carol portrayed. That's a great background for her. Wow, your card is just lovely and that is one of my favorite backgrounds. It looks so elegant. Love the gold embossing for the sentiment.
