Twofer Card Challenge #20: Critters

Happy Twofer Day!  It's the tenth of the month, the day we begin a new challenge at the Twofer Challenge blog.  Critters is our theme, so my image of choice is Dotty the Mouse from Purple Onion Designs, illustrated by Stacey Yacula.

My first card is a thank you note.  Even though there is no sentiment on the front of the card, the little mouse is offering some oats to his cow friend, so I decided it will be a thank you note.
My second card is a congratulations card.  The little mouse is now holding a flower as he and his little bird friend play among the flowers.
Here they are together:  One stamp, two different occasions and two different designs!

I hope you will join us for this fun challenge!  Please head on over to the Twofer Card Challenge blog to get some wonderful inspiration from our guest designer and the team!

Supplies:
Stamps:  Purple Onion Designs: Dotty (mouse), Gracie (bird), Nest, Clarabelle (cow), Flo, Mo, & Bo (3 Chicks), Barn Door, Barn Accessories, Milk Set, Hay Bale, Floral Corners, Essential Thoughts Sentiment Set

  2. Shoot, Kara, I'm just sitting here with my mouth open, agog at your ability to create scenes and your coloring! I thought maybe the farm (w/o the mouse) was one stamp, but I looked at your supply list to make sure. Nope. You took a dozen stamps and masked and colored and created the adorable scenes on both your cards from scratch. Thud! And just because you could, you made your sweet floral card a shaker! Thud! Okay, stop it. Seriously, one of these times I'm gonna break a hip falling off my chair!! Hugs, Darnell xxoo

  5. Oh my word!! Your coloring on that first card is AMAZING!! Is that a one layer card? I could NEVER do that because I would make a mistake on at least one of the elements. I LOVE everything about it. Your second card with the flowers and the shaker with the critters-GENIUS. You rocked this challenge!!

  16. Always love to see your wonderful scenes, Kara ... not only so beautifully coloured and composed, but also so sweetly detailed! Every little bit of your barn yard has me gazing in awe ... the texture of the straw bale, the roughness of the woodgrain, the metallic coolness of the milk churn ... well, everything really ... simply stunning! Your sweet shaker is adorable ... you've given those cute little critters such lovely expressions ... they're perfect set amidst the gorgeous florals! Big hugs and bisous, Anita :)
