Reminder - Twofer Card Challenge #30: Sun/Moon

I hope you can join us this month for our Sun/Moon Twofer Card Challenge!  I chose to use a sun die cut from W+9's Sunshine Layers as my common element on both cards:
The first card is a non-traditional use of the sun die.  I layered two together to create flowers for an over all background design.  There are also raindrops in the set, so I used those for leaves.  The additional polka dots are also the sun's center.
The next card is an encouragement card and uses the sun for its traditional purpose.  The rainbow, clouds, and word are all die cuts from the same set as the sun.  I ink blended the blue panel for an ombre effect.
I hope you are enjoying a little sunshine wherever you are today, but if not, this last card is for you!

  2. So vibrant, bright and fun, Kara ... your scattered sunflowers are so warm and sunny ... and how sweet is the sun coming up over the rainbow! Yep, sunny here today ... and thankfully below 40C! Big hugs and bisous, Anita :)

  3. How cute, Kara! I didn't realize until I came over for a closer look and saw the leaves that your DSP was made of several sunFLOWERS rather than suns! And the leaves are made out of raindrops, no less! I love it and I love your cheery traditional sun playing with his buddies Rainbow and Clouds 9 and 6 in an awesome ombre sky! Cool stitching and frame, too! Miss you! Hugs, Darnell

  6. Sunflowers are perfect for this challenge. They are so pretty and cheerful and thank you for sending sunshine. We have had some overcast days in the mornings and it takes a while for the sun to appear.
